Hi guys,
I'm having an issue about the tail from the NEW LOGO 700, we assembly two kits here and both have the same problem, the tail is shaking like having less gain in the tail, soft shakings, we have tried everything here, put a lot of gain, put less gain as possible and nothing, one of the LOGO 700 have the JR SPG01 and the other LOGO 700 the MKS HBL 990, i have checked everything like bearings in the torque tube, tail box, the lenght in the push rod, put in the inner hole on the servo arm and nothing, can't solve this problem on both heli.
Can you guys possible know what is happening?
Ah yeah, we're both using Vbar NEO, but one with VCONTROL and the other JR 28X, borh VBAR NEO's have the pro version with rescue too.
Thanks
Luciano

I have had no issue with mine. So, just shooting ideas at you.

What grease did you use on the front and rear umbrella gears?

What grease did you pack the thrust bearings with?

Did you follow the manual for bearing spacing on the torque tube, or did you reverse it like some people have suggested?

Did you have to clean any flashing off of the bevel gears?

There has been at least one report of defective bevel gear where the step is missing causing it to seat too deeply. If both kits are from the same batch, perhaps they could both be bad? See the attached image for the CORRECT step in the gear.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Hi cudaboy,
Both helis are from the same batch.
I use a special grease for thrust bearing and double checked everything on the tail.
No grease on plastic umbrella's gear, as they're plastic i didn't put grease on them.
I did follow the manual on the bearing spaces on the torque tube.
The only thing i didn't check is the step on the bevel gear like you shown in the pic.

true, but the manual does call for grease on both the front and rear bevel gears. FWIW, I used DryFluid.

Also, I assume you put on the static strap? I didn't even want to test hover mine until that was installed, and tested for continuity. I've had static issues with most belt-driven helis here in the N.Cal valley.

if it ain't broke, break it.

The manual does not state this but the thrust bearings are different sizes. You have to measure them and put the large one on the inside and the smaller one on the outside. Also shim the tail shaft if needed.
Fix those omissions in the manual and all should be good...

Ron,
I have shimmed my tail shaft, i saw this play when i assemble both kits, also get stated the thrust bearing sides correctly, but still hold the problem.
Don't know what it could be.
If anyone have other ideas of what possible could be??

I had a similar problem while ago with my Logo 600. The issue was that the tail Rotor Sleeve Assembly was not running freely. You need to remove the rod and move it end to end. You might need to sand the tail shaft a little bid and add a drop of oil.
Hope this help.

also get stated the thrust bearing sides correctly,
Sorry but I didn't see anywhere where it stated you measured and checked the thrust bearings which is why I suggested it. If everything is installed correctly on both helis and you still have the same issue, on both helis, then something is not installed correctly
Remove the thrust bearings and check again, also check to see that the radial bearings are seated properly....

nah...the radial bearings in the grips are all the same.

how does the whole tail pitch movement feel? take the front of the pushrod off of the servo and move it by hand from there. it should be smooth with no resistance from full right to full left.

if it feels smooth unloaded (static), then take off all the blades and try it with the tail spooled up (be careful) to load the thrust bearings. there will be a lot more resistance pushing the rod with a load. but, it should still be smooth from stop to stop. that will help you narrow it down to the way the bearings are installed, or something else.

that little 3x5x.5mm washer on top of the pitch slider arm bearing is critical. the arm will bind when tightened down without it. and, since the bolt threads in to plastic, no need to torque it down. just tight enough to move freely without any slop.

the only other thing I can come up with to check is the servo type in the software.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Ron,
I have dissamble all the tail from both LOGO's 700, re-check everything but everything looks perfect, i have polished the tail shaft and the tail pitch slider too but only to see if this could help, because before they're good too.
I'll make a test by the end of the week and let you guys know.

Did you not move the mechanism in your hand when assembling the tail to check if it moved freely?

Quite a basic build check/requirement!

60% of the time, it works every time!
