Hey Ya'll

I'm in a learning process of 3D flight, and I would like to record my flying and later review. I do have an action cam (Sony 4k Action Cam), but the distortion is rather nasty, even at 120 degrees view angle. Suggestions much appreciated...

Thanks,

This looks pretty cool. Don't know if it is out yet or if it can keep up with very fast maneuvers. http://www.soloshot.com

So a buddy of mine has a pair of video glasses that work really well... surprised me.

Kind of similar to these

No zoom but there fairly inexpensive and records what your looking at...

A good friend of mine Velcros and small camera to his hat brim seams to work for him ...as for me I don't want video evidence of my poor flying ...

A "friend" of mine did a video of one of my flights, and posted it. I told him, "Don't do that again. Even I fell asleep watching that."

I use the Sony Action Cam 4K, but with the fisheye it sucks. Here is a video of my poor 3D skills, I don't know if I'm going through middle age crisis trying/attempting to 3D - why can't I just fly straight and loops.

Most smartphones have a good cam in them. Get a phone holder that screws into a cam tripod or a hat. I tried the hat but the phone and mount is too heavy. But a bike helmet with smart phone mounted works great.

Dorky looking as all hell breaking loose.. But it fits my lg g4 phone in a otter case. My mount is made by joby camera accessories.

@Ghia I was thing that too, I have a Iphone 6S+ and it records at 4K as well. Before I spend huge amount of money I just might get some kind of mod for my hat lol. It will look dorky but who gives rats arse.

This looks ok;

My GoPro software will remove the fisheye for me. I had your camera and returned it to buy the GoPro 3+Black. You might want to look at you editing software.

I am not saying the GoPro is better, it is just what I did.

Grab a "Selfie Stick" from any local store (they're sold everywhere now) for about $10-$20. Take the phone mount off and mount it to an old hat. It works great! All you have to do is drill through the bill of the hat and mount it with a bolt. Place your phone in, hit record and put the hat on...

This was taken with this "hatcam"
