Here is a short film I put together of (in my opinion) some of the Legends of RC Helicopter Demos Dating from 1983-1994. Back then this was called Hot Dogging ;-)

People like

Great job on the old videos. I love the old stuff. Those guys make it look easy, but those helis were not as easy as they are today.

I would like to see a video of Ernie Hubber flying. I got to fly with him in 2003. He was pretty go for his age.

I would have liked to include a lot of people. However Time and Video availability made that a little difficult.

I am glad everyone is enjoying the video.

Wow lot of memories, I have some on tape from the old tangerine events from the early 90s, have to fine them and post. I remember at one event all the guys had the new electric Kyosho electric heli had a 6 or 7 cell NiCad pack, 11 when up only one left in 2 min, they were trying to loop them it was so funny crashing everywhere.

That was actually the Kalt Whisper, not the Kyosho electric that came out a year or three after the Whisper. I really liked the way Frank Dykes' went in,.. the flybar wasn't secured properly and it slipped over to one side. Probably shook half the plastic parts apart in the first couple seconds

Nice video JC.

thanks for the video.
Big respect to the pioneers

Funny thing, the pilots in this video, with that old hardware, still out-flies 70% of the guys at my local flyingfield with their new fancy 0.06sec/30kg servos/FBL units and 10kw motors, go figure..
