Looks to me like Helicraft still has plenty of raptor parts. It has been a while since I ordered from them. I spent a fortune there a few years back. They never even once made a mistake on my order. I used to put in my order on a Sunday evening, and pick it up at the post office (had to sign for it) the following Saturday.

Thunder Tiger parts

Thunder Tiger parts available
I've now received my second order for Raptor E550 and .50 V2 heli parts from a TT rep in Taiwan. The routine is; you email parts numbers from the manuals, Emma responds with price and shipping cost. You PayPal the invoice amount and they ship. This last order was paid for on Sunday or Monday evening and I had it in hand by Friday.

One of the parts packages split open and one piece was missing. I emailed Emma about this along with a photo of the package over the weekend and this morning I had a response from her saying the replacement had been shipped and she included the tracking number. I couldn't have asked for any better service than that!

Here's the contact information I used;

*crawls out from under a rock*

So exactly what happened? I knew TT was having issues, did they finally just pop smoke on the whole line?

I have a Velociraptor. Man, I loved that thing, should have never sold it.

I give up on Loctite, nothing lasts long enough to vibrate loose anymore.

I think there was at least one (landing gear set) and maybe a second one that I don't recall, that were out of stock. I've not received any information on them becoming otherwise. What that means, I can't say.

Well
I did an enquiry to TT for a host of parts not available anywhere else and apart from the PV1361 which is a superced part ( my mistake) they have it all. It's sort of good news as I believe at my current crash/flying rate I have now accumulated a life time buy of parts- it's also pretty sad the TT have killed off the Titan x50 by doing this.

I now think by buying the odd airframe
here and there I'm covered.

It's still a great machine.

Sort of over

I contacted Emma at Thunder Tiger, and was told that the nitro helicopters were discontinued, because of lack of demand, and more demand for electrics. There is a need to buy more nitro helicopters, and keep it going.

I would not give up, and go to another brand, and would continue to order parts, until they get the idea, they need to support all the people they already sold nitro helicopters. We need to remember they are in the business of making money.

If that's true they have a mad business model.

Everywhere on the net I look for parts they are showing as parts out of stock.
The U.K. Distributor has a massive outstanding order with them.

Also this information we are using ( on here )is tenuous Chinese whispers to get parts direct from the DA factory.

Most people have already given up on them as the main distributor is out of stock.

Come on TT, wake up.

The push

The push from the Chinese is for electric models, as they can sell to anyone, whereas nitro takes more skill. It is also a great way for the Chinese to sell more of their electronics, esc's, motors, and batteries. It is called creating a market for your products. They are simply Pushing what they have the expertise to manufacture.

I have become personally acquainted with a well known Chinese engine maker, and he has told me the Chinese do not have the technology to develop carburettors that work very well. He told me that is especially true for helicopters, as we all know. They also lack the skill to produce high quality nitro engines on their own.

Hi slick!
I'm a Chinese, and live in mainland. most of Chinese fly Align, tarot, alzrc or other cheap heli. Almost no one fly TT.
I'm a TT fan. When I take my E700 for fling there always have some newcomer ask me which brand of my heli.
When TT product E300MD and discontinue E325V2, I asked TT. They said"E300MD sells good in Europe and USA"

Took a break from nitro helis, and just this morning was looking to see what was on the Thunder Tiger site, and I'm surprised.
Sheesh.

I checked the website and there's nothing there on the toy line. They have a line of business related helis, and saw something on youtube about a one man heli.
