hey guys,

my friend gave me his 130x , all it needed was an ele servo , so did that , and managed not to take apart the whole heli...

but on spool up my tail spins . sometimes it looks like it stops for a sec than speeds back up. I also noticed the tail throw isn't the full travel of the slider , ? so is my tail servo junk or am I doing something wrong>?

I set my radio per instructions so I'm at a loss here ,, heck even on the ground if I move the heli side to side the tail don't really move? got a dx6i at $85 gyro gain , any ideas?

Is the tail rotor torque tube or belt drive?

If belt drive, the belt tension could be too loose.

If torque tube, check for a missing teeth on the bevel gears, or the bevel gears not being fully engaged.

for the tail servo, move the servo horn thru its travel by hand and see if you feel any stripped gears inside the servo.

Make sure the servo horn is at 90 degrees, and starting with the endpoints on the rudder channel at 100 and 100.

the 130x uses liner servos, sooo no rotating them with a servo horn ,, ,,

the 130x is a breed of its own , liner servos, worlds smallest tt ,

micro money pit ,,, good thing this thing was givin to me lol , I already put $18 into this thing lol , I feel another $18 is in order for a servo? ..

its a 3n1 board as well which complicates things with setup .. not like your normal fbl unit

On my 130x I had metal TT gears in the frame and plastic ones in the tail so I would only have to change the tail ones that were 100 times easier to do.
If yours is similar, mine would strip the inside of the gear where the TT D shape would engage the inside of the gear.
So on the outside, everything looked fine... but the tail was not too good because the TT would spin inside the gear and the tail blades would slow down.
Just a possibility for you to check out.

that's what it was flying jesus , the tt was spinning in my plastic tail gear,,

I took it apart , ca glues it , so far , 3 flights and she works like a glove

money pit is right!

I wish I had the 300.00+ back I invested in that bird!..it's been sitt'n in disrepair for a year and a half..maybe I'll melt it down spares and all and make somekind of mod-art sculpture outta it!

I do a great decending funnel!

i refused to buy a micro , heck anything below a 550 seems "toyish" to me , but it was free , so far I'm kinda meh about it ,,, but the lipo he gave me I think is shot because it don't move all that quick,and don't really have any punch , ,
and the stock hover blades , with the weight in them ? I guess that's not letting me tic toc or anything as well ,

time to try a new lipo and better blades
