SSR came from "Super Sharp Response". I've not heard any words that contributed to FFZ and SSZ. FF- heads are predominantly plastic in construction. -L heads are FBL.

The SSR heads were and are the F3C task heads. When Hirobo released the solid axle SSZ-V head, that rule of thumb developed a little detour <g>.
