Wondering if anyone has attempted to reverse the main and tail rotation for a scale project using Synergy E mechanics.
Can the main gear/one way bearing be turned over on an E5 or 7 and can the tail block be turned over from right side to left?
Trying to put the TR on the correct side for a scale Bell 206 or 222/airwolf fuse and have scale appropriate rotation.
Don't know if this is even possible since it would reverse the location of the blade grip pitch arms but have been told these can be flipped though the TR gear box leaves the bell crank on top.
To clarify the circumstances.
Bottom line is I don't have mechanics or a scale fuse yet. I'm really trying to do all my homework before I order anything.
So far I've had 2 guys (1 on Synergy's forum who is actually working on something almost identical but left the Synergy airframe as it comes stock and then 1 on HeliFreak who actually flipped the TR box and is running the drive train in reverse - OWB was flipped of course) The latter is reporting that so far he is having no issues however someone did point out that because of the helical cut gears, running the DT backwards in theory should be trying to force the pinion into the motor and was concerned about bearing/motor failure when you least want it to happen.
