Two 20c 5000 mah packs in parallel are no different (assuming the packs are equally healthy and discharge at equal rates) than a single 20c 10,000 mah pack. The multiplier (the 20) is the same and inherent to the cells themselves; the overall capacity is all that has changed. In either case the nominal current delivery ability of the system is 200 amps (20 x 10,000 mah = 200,000/1000 = 200).

Flame suit on.

Ok I see what I'm saying wrong here.

It's where I'm doing the math.

Whereas you are increasing available amps and not voltage by parallel wiring, the c rating remains the same.

And with physical reasons for battery size you wouldn't end up getting more (not that much) amps out of a parallel set up of two batteries vs one single pack of equal weight/chemistry/voltage

Pretty much so. Two 6s 2500 packs in parallel together are about the same overall physical size as a single 6s 5000. More or less pretty much kinda sorta.

Well going by their numbers, these batteries will be amazing.

If you calculate their low end (400 watt hours per kilogram) you could have a 6cell 10ah battery that weighed under 700g with all the wiring wrapping etc. And it would take up less volume.

My pulse 6s at just under 700g delivers 147 watt hours per kilogram.

But going through all their info I can find nothing in regards to discharge rate.
I can only make assumptions regarding the application.

But none of it matters really... we'll find out when they sell them.
