. What "C rating calculator" are you talking about ?
The one I posted in the beginning of this topic. Maybe cell resistance as measured on my cellpro pl6 is inaccurate but I trust the manufacturer knows what they are doing when it comes to batteries and algorithms etc. and the numbers also coinside with other peoples numbers on different chargers.

The test is quite simple as long as the pack remains above 3v per cell and gives at least 80% of its capacity while remaining below 60 degrees C. The only thing I don't have is a temp probe but 60 degrees C would be uncomfortable to hold for more than a few seconds.

60% of the time, it works every time!

60ºC ? ? that's 140ºF ! !
The same temperature most hot water heaters are set at ! !

Sounds excessive for allowable battery temps.

Yep it sure is hot. That's the upper limit to keep the pack from harm though. I have an old lipo which says not to exceed 75 degrees C on the label! I guess they have learned a little since then, either that or its health and safety gone mad!

The text as I recall from rcgroups is to give a c rating that allows you to use the pack several times. i.e. get a reasonable number of cycles from it.

Unlike Ashley Davis who just about killed that pack making it look like it was a 30Cer - it was but for just one cycle.

I see what your saying so the C rating calculator thingy is for safe multiple discharges and the C rating on the labels is for a one off max discharge where the pack is rendered pretty useless after?

Here's my test video, please don't laugh it's my first time! Haha.
