Remember, Trump doesn't regret anything. So whatever he does, he's fine with it. Even if you're not. Sounds like a businessman.

I honestly can't believe anyone would support Trump. He took a purple heart from a vet, and said it was easier getting it this way. This guy has no shame at all. If anyone here can justify this, you are just as sick as he is.

You gonna support him after this dilbert?

He "took" a purple heart. That's how it went, huh? "Humbly received gift" now becomes "take." Language matters and libs distort meaning all the time. Like with this Trump response about the vet thing...

Vet here. And I took no offense whatsoever to the comment that "it's easier to get this way." Sure, it was awkward, but it acknowledges the sacrifice that the recipient went through. Sure his word choice sucked, but I could see the underlying message. Trump doesn't have a fancy political science degree that helps him get his point across so it comes awkwardly.

In all this, I have to point out that the media focus on Trump's reponse is a diversion from the fact that a vet felt good enough about Trump to offer his painfully earned medal as a gift. That is a powerful message and you won't be able to fully derail it. Not even Trump's silly reply takes away from the power of this action.

Get back to me when Clinton receives (takes?) her purple heart from a vet. You can't see what the media is doing to diffuse the power of this? Sad.

Sure Trump's word choice, as always, was off, but overall, it sounded like he was humbled, and that is enough for me. By contrast, the Democrats seem to reluctantly celebrate the military with hollow words while their actions show that they loath it's necessity. How do you pronounce corpsman again? LOL. As a vet, I can tell you that the Clintons are not popular among the forces. But you go on ahead and be offended for us. I'll be pulling the lever for Trump as will many other vets.

I saw a post on YouTube the other day. It said "if the establishment is spending THIS much money and effort to drag down Trump, that's reason alone to vote for him." Was an interesting statement that should give one pause. The establishment wants to make the voter's choice for them. First Bernie was destroyed by media blackout and DNC corruption. Now Trump gets attacked at every opportunity while similar offenses from Hillary, or the fact that she seldom even speaks to the press, gets a media pass. It's so transparent at this point it's boggling why anyone would support her. Hating Trump is playing into hands of establishment. But you go on ahead.

Humble? Doubtful. First, he shouldn't have accepted it anyway. Common sense tells you this. Gift or not. Those are hard earned, and Trump got out of military service. He could have served, but he didn't. If you can justify this, you're as bad as he is.

Trump opens himself up to this kind of crap when he opens his mouth. Surely you aren't going to justify the things he said about a fallen soldier?

You keep pulling that one eyed bandit level. We will see what it gets you. I'm not voting for either of them. If I vote, I'll write in someone. Anyone other than those two.

Who the heck are you to tell a purple heart recipient what he can and can't do with his heart?

And do tell me more about Clinton's military record.

What'd he say? He said nothing about the soldier, only the parents. And yes, it was stupid, but lets not conflate it into something it wasn't.

Well then he said crap about the parents of a fallen soldier. And yeah, it was stupid, as much of what comes out of his mouth is. And this is what you want as a president? He can't even put into words what he wants to say. And don't say he'll have speech writers. Trump doesn't take advice from anyone. I bet, before this is over, the republican party disowns him, or tries, unsuccessfully to get him to reel it in.

I'd rather have politically naïve than someone politically astute yet totally corrupt and anti-Constitutional.

So yes. I'm eating brussel sprouts.

You go ahead and tell them you want ice cream. You're not getting it.

If this isn't a case for being involved in the 2020 primaries, I don't know what is. Most people just wait for the choices to be presented.

I think it's pretty clear that Trump is alienating those in his own party. As I said, I bet he doesn't make it to the election. Not that he really intended to anyway. He's the guy that's gonna get Hillary in the white house. Mark my words. All of you have been hoodwinked by this guy.

I actually made that case early on...and there are times he seems to be intentionally throwing it. But if this is true, it changes nothing. The only way to call that bluff is to vote for him LOL.

Hey I'd be fine with Pence for President, too.

I just don't think he'll let it get that far. He'll bail saying he's sick of this crap, and tired of defending himself against all this. But no matter what, if either one of these characters gets elected. It's not going to be good for us.

He won't bail. Come on a kid tried to ASSASSINATE him for crying out loud. That didn't slow him down a bit.

He's going to go the distance. Win? I don't know. Quit? No way.

I can't see him being able to quit now, maybe a staged assassination attempt to bail out

either way this has got to be the worst election in history

Can't help but notice these ideas of him quitting are coming from mainstream media. They aren't coming from his staff. They are coming from the media that hates him to begin with. Just an attempt to seed doubt in his supporters heads. Or perhaps an attempt to kick him out. I consider the source and disregard it. So should any free thinking individual. If you can't see the fix is in for Hillary or other establishment types you are blind.

Newbheliuser actually said in another thread that Hillary is better because she has political experience. Political experience is the problem to begin with!

Politics was never meant to be a career, but a service.
