Problem is that the market is down, way down. Who knows, at least he is doing something. Good skills.

Can you share pics of the equipment you are using to make the parts?

good work. I work with cnc machines, have made an upgrade battery slide for the synergy e7se, which took 1+1/2 to machine + hours of modelling. These things can take alot of time let alone all the parts needed for the heli. once a machine is set you can fire out the same part many times, but many one offs is an absolute ball ache. Well done

excellent...450 class?

well at least you'll never have a problem getting parts...

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Will it Ever Happen?

I wonder if we will ever see the day where the machine code is released for cloning one of the expensive name brand helicopters. No more worry about future parts availability, just cut them yourself. Wish we could get a manufacturer to sign on to that idea. Parts no longer manufactured would still be available. Might be bad for the seller, as they compete with older designs. How good is good enough.

GREAT WORK!

Why would a manufacturer spend money on R&D, testing, and manufacturing to the turn around and give that info away?

...giving out CNC programs is useless. The program is specific to the type of machine, workholding and tooling.

The only useful item that could be shared would be the 3D model of the parts. Then any machine shop could develop the code based on THEIR machinery, workholding and tooling.

OK this is awesome. The only way to make it any cooler would be anodize!

Kudos to you, and like they said, you'll always be able to get parts!

Keep the project coming and post often!

Some manufacturers are willing to give their cad files away,
Matt Botos offered the CAD files for the N9 to anyone that wanted to reproduce some of the parts.
Although that was a business decision.
