Another hobby of mine----chainsaw carving ! I carved the 8 foot Bigfoot out of a cherry tree I took down. I had to glue and dowel the arms on to get the width. Put solar powered LED lights in the eye sockets to scare the kids at night

Nice work! It wouldn't really fit in with my motif at the house but I would be proud to display it in the proper arena.

Nice work of art!! I've carved up more more wood with a chainsaw than I care to speak about, but it never looked that good.

Damn that ground is hard! When's the right time to get out of this money sucking hobby?

A Stihl is absolutely on the "Things to get next" list. Just in case you were wondering what his name is

41" and 36" are serious bar lengths. What are the power heads hooked onto them?

I spent 2 days earlier in the week on the back end of a saw clearing a path for a power line into my cabin in Minnesota. Not exactly work I am use to doing on a regular basis but it was certainly a reintroduction to real work for this retired guy. The Stihl 280 never complained even once though.

By the way, nice carving and certainly something I have zero skills to accomplish.

Anybody not watch "Counting Cars"? Horney Mike painted a guys chainsaw to look like it was carved out of wood. A wood chain saw, and it was way cool.

Love Ryan's paint... he is awesome.

Yeah, well as it turned out I did some Home improvements for my neighbor and he said---I can't pay you till Tues. when my Social Security comes in----I said, Don't worry about it Bruce your all set--He said , come look at this so we go to Ye old barn and there's a Stihl Wood Boss 024 16' just sittin there He said-- I'll trade Ya---I said --Hell Yes !!!

So anyway the saw had been sittin for about 8 years or so Not used at all, I take it home, empty the gas, put in some fresh gas and on the third pull it starts and just sits there purring like a kitten the next day I lube and sharpen the chain and do some cuttin-----like Butta---runs like a dream. A guy on YouTube said these older Stihls are unstoppable and last a Looooong time----a far cry from my Poulans

Blade 230s--V977--Trex 450 sport-- McpxBL---NaNo cps--Smart---T---pant
