Bringing this N9 back to life.
If anyone has a FBL head setup they would like to part with it will go to a good home.

Thanks, Steve

N9 FBL head

Steve
Have you considered using the 766 head. I haven't tried it myself but it's on my to do list.

Cheers

Found a FBH complete nib.

Thanks for the heads up about the kit.

Then found my swash bearing was notchy.

Hopefully lubed it enough for it to work properly.

I found the Bonta head minus the main shaft (wrong shaft)., then realized the E700 head fits and works with the existing hole and the height lines up perfectly. I then drilled a second hole to use the 4 existing holes in the head.

Using Vbar I was able to get 13.5 pitch at 90 and 8.25 cyclic at 90 on the slider.

Removing the flybar, GV1, 611 and 4800 fromoco relion 72 mhz rx. and replacing it with the full size VBAR 2200 lipo, r7003sb removed roughly 1 lb or better.
10-lbs 2-oz flying weight now!Flies better than I remember

Ran about a gallon through it at the Turlock fun fly yesterday.
Did some adjustments and it's flying really nice. Very happy to be flying an updated N9. With Vbar.
Encouraging when getting comments on how quiet and smooth it looks, and "I need to get a nitro"..
