I have not flown my N9 in years because I've been flying my logos with Vbar.

Looking to convert my N9 to FBL but don't know where to look for parts.

Anyone have them they'd like to part with or point me in the right direction would be great.

Thanks. Steve

If you can find a Bonta head they are sweet, very unlikely you will find one though. A Hyper head will be your best bet.

Pictures of the Bonta head that I had.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

just a thought, but why not mod the 766 head?

it would be close to a direct bolt on.

its 12mm main shaft with Hyper levers. Looks like it might be an easy conversion.

A TT E700 airframe complete just ended up with me.. I think I might pull everything out and put it up for sale in pieces. Use the servos for the E700

I have got a hyper head I would sell you. I can also research if the 766 head would work. I have both machines in the workshop.

N9 FBL head

I have a extra 766 head put aside just for that purpose. May have to mod the main shaft. I will eventually play with it also. Mine is already FBL :-)

The 766 head is appoximately 20mm wider than an N9 head. Might run into clearance trouble

Edit: I am running 716's on mine, it looks like if you were to stick to 700mm or below the clearance would be ok

After pulling the servos out and installing them in another 700 I find one servo was whacked. The last couple of times I flew this it felt crappy and didn't seem to hold the trim. Now I found out why. Not sure how I missed that the way it was behaving on the bench controlled by the vbar.

Makes me think I should spring for a head, vbar and servos and bring it back to life. I just recall how killer it flew before. FBL has to make it even better.

What do you have with the head? Any linkages? Does it have the anti rotation built in?

In the assembly instructions, there is mention of it:- Press bearings into anti- rotaion levers....

It comes with 2 ball links, many bearings, blade grip, levers etc

I can part with it.
It has never been assembled. Still in the plastic bags that came from Carl Bonta.
I prefer you make me an offer that I cannot refuse.
