Ron set the standard for on-line hobby shops. Honest as the day is long and truly loves the hobby.
That's the Perfect description! This man kept me flying when I was across the world. From Afghanistan to Sinai Egypt-- he kept me flying, and when I met him for real at an Austin TX funfly I knew he was really a special person and it's no wonder why he is successful in all aspects of life. A truly wonderful person.

Now, Who the heck do I buy heli parts from????
My day is officially ruined.

Enjoy Retirement sir!

I don't think there is a person in the hobby who can say anything bad about Ron. I personally have had nothing but positive experiences with him and his business. From Korea to Japan to the states he's been one of my main go-to shops.

He is one of a very rare breed of hobby shop owners who really has a passion for the hobby while also caring about the people he sells to and it shows in how he conducts himself around his customers. I felt it every time I logged into his site. I loved getting his email bulletins and reading his recommendations and tips on his site.

Ron,
I sincerely wish you all the best in retirement and I reluctantly say a biter-sweet farewell. My hubby says thank you as well; he still flies the Trex500 he won from you back in 2007.

Great . . . Heliproz is out, Ron's is out, and most of the others just shovel cheap chinese turds. Effectively, looks like tne 'golden years' of RC Helis are officially dead . . . . may they RIP . . . Heck, even my local (which used to be great) has dropped everytging good and become just another turd peddler . . .

Congrats, Ron. Well deserved. I considered your shop, no matter the name, my "local" hobby shop for the last 15 or so years. I hate to see you go, but I'm happy for you. Thanks for everything.

Ron Lund

I met Ron in 93 or 94, switch from Futaba to JR, wanted a 10X radio, he told me Rick just got one and it was at Ricks house and if I wanted it he would go out and get it from Rick, nobody else had these in stock, that's the kind of guy Ron Lund is, 4 or 5 years later some guy At IRCHA or MayDay in Sulpher La had his $2000.00 radio stolen, Ron walk up and handed him a new $2000.00 radio, that's the kind of guy he is, you will be miss dear friend. Ron,
You were and are one of the great supporters of the hobby and the people that enjoy it.
The success of it was due to all the work, support, interest, contributions, donations and so much more. You gave your time and your cash.
Thank you for all the promotion and support of our Heli Heatwave event here in Fort Worth.

I wish you the very best for the future.

Ron -

You retire taking something with you that few can claim; the respect and admiration of your clients/customers, the industry in general and especially from those of us who are passionate about this hobby. Your name will be used as the example of how to do things right for a long time to come. Seldom does anyone retire from any pursuit with such accomplishment.

I am in my 20th year of retirement. The first day was great and it only gets better. I wish the very same for you.

Ron, it has already been said several ways here, but yes, enjoy that
retirement and hope you make it back to IRCHA......even bring Nathan if
you can

You were/are definitely one of the good ones in the hobby! And have good
memories of you (Ricks) being one of the standout go-to choices back in my
first years in the hobby.....early-mid 90s. Good times---good memories

Maybe, if someone buys the business and Ron agrees to transfer the domain name to the new owner.

Ron, thank you so much for your personal service and free advice....unlike today where you cant even get a real person on the phone. I'm glad we got to meet in person in TX at a funfly.

I hope you have a great retirement and many many days ahead to fly fly fly!!

Good Luck.
