Autoking any news, well I got another main gear case this is now number 3,put it in,Jesus bolt was not tight and the main gear was really smooth, here we go again, landed after the first flight main gear was still smooth no locking up,had another flight landed and the main gear was locked up again, had enough took the black gear casing out and put it into another Trex 600n this one has the Fl head,up it went landed checked the main and it was locked up,managed but it was really hard pulling on the main gear and it got free it was smooth again, went up had another flight landed and it was locked up,got it smooth again by pulling really hard on the main gear, put the old white gears back in and no problems, there we are,the new black main gear, auto gear and gear case do not work with the older Trex 600,given up as there must be something new or different on the new version of the Trex 600 dfc nitro.

"Main gear was locked up"
Does that mean the One Way Bearing is locked?
EG: When you turn the head Clockwise by hand, the main gear turns also?

That would be the crappy Align OWB. I changed to Lynx years ago and have not had a problem.

Are you using the Lynx main mast bearing blocks?
When I made the change to DFC, the problem I had was that I was using the Lynx main bearing blocks with the thrust-bearing.
The Lynx kit was designed for the older frames and the spacing between the blocks is 1mm wider than the stock Align main bearing blocks.
They warn you about it on the web site - which I didn't read until I tried to build the heli with the new DFC -2WW main mast.
I ended up grinding off the welded ring on the DFC main mast and used the Align main mast collar
But, If I had used the stock Align main mast bearing blocks, I assume it would have been perfect.

This issue carried over to the Custom Heli Products (CHP) frames when I converted. Their design is based on the older frame. They provide their own main mast bearing blocks / servo mounts.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.
Fake News will be the downfall of our Republic!

Thank you for the reply, this is the 3rd new gear case,Align sent me a new one and cannot figure out the problem, the first two gear cases as I tighten up the Jesus bolt slowly the main gear would become stiff to turn, after a few flights on each gear case and expecting the main gear it was solid stiff if you turned the head clockwise the main gear was locked together with the Auto gear, one should be able to spin the main gear freely by hand, the casing got sent back to Align and they managed to get the sleeve out of the one way bearing it was jammed in there, then I got the 3rd gear casing, put it together it felt very smooth can spin the main gear by hand while holding the head, first flight landed main gear was solid stiff, had to push really hard to get the main gear free again,as I said before we put the new black casing into another Trex 600 nitro, this time one with the FL head,it lasted one flight, main gear locked up again,so thats two helicopters we have tried with these dam new black gears,SOMEBODY out there must know something, there just has to be something different between the new TREX 600 DFC NITRO and the OLD TREX 600 NITRO,the 3 main shaft bearings are the original metal blocks which is the Trex 600 super pro,it has the full dfc head on it,then we put the old white gears and casing back into the dfc and the old grey gears and casing into the FL,smooth as all ways.

I have a brand new, latest and greatest 600N kit in the box with the BeastX. Let me know if I can help by measuring any part of it for you.

LOL Think I got it figured out, this just happened to me, the 3rd bearing block is slightly warped loosen it and see if it spins more free.

Got me swearing up and down for a bit

check bottom of page 10 top of page 11 this alignment can get tweaked apparently from a hard landing or wear

are you using the 0.8 mm washer between the gears

spending time, paying attention
