Sorry guys havnt been keeping an eye on the thread. So far the 105 have put three on the centerglide bearing no issues but still runninh it rich. Havnt got to the n5 yet just bought a new house so its been eating up the time. But gonna start it tonight hope to fly this weekend. As to the questions of price and time.

I sent my engines to him on a fri in a flate rate box. They were back in my hand the following wed. Quick turnaround. Price was 65 a motor(105, 55). The crank spins just as smooth as a new bearing would no noticable. Play. Should be perfect for me I always keep my engines on rich side.

No it doesn't you just have to be sure the front bearing is good and they usually are.

I didn't have much luck with the center glide bearing. My engine ran hot and nothing I could do would change it. Put a new rear bearing in it and didn't have any future problems.
I have two center glide bearings installed in two engines. Both were fairly old engines when I sent them in but they were running well. Both ran quite poorly when I first received them back. Neither would idle and the .91 would shut down at random times while singing along at full speed. I got better at autos.

Time has passed and both are running better. Both run differently than a bearing engine but both now run reliably with good power.

I'm only guessing, but I believe what is going on is that the crank and case I sent Bud were not new or in particularly good shape. The cranks had a fair bit of run time on them and they showed signs of scuffing where they had slid on the inner race of the ball bearings. I believe what I saw was that the crank/bushings need A LOT of running to seat in.

People with new engines seem to be reporting better results. (Some people with new engines are also reporting some trouble.) My older engines probably were not a good choice for center glide bearings but now that time has passed, I like them. I really like the fact that they seem to be a bearing for life. Time will tell.

Just a few random thoughts....

I was thinking it is too bad Magnum doesn't sell new engines with the center glide

I would buy one

they don't have to do the work until the engine is ordered

My 105 was fairly new. But did have problems with keepin it running at first. I just did 4 5min idles while letting cool between. Each time I keep taking the idle higher till it would run at full h/s. Then a couple more times of hoovering about 5-10 feet for 4-5 min. Now I have two full flight on tank plus the hoover. Not much issue other than a lack of power from running rich. Gonna keep leanning it a little at a time till back to good power range. It died in some of the idleing and once while hoovering. But not during full tank sport fly runs.

Sorry to hear about the N7. Throttle hold would eliminate or really help limit the damage

what I find interesting is this - yes, the tail does spin backward, however.....the correction is NOT backwards. it is the same as every other synergy on the market. they are all leading edge control. doesn't matter which direction it spins, the blades still move the same direction. maybe you DID have the rudder gyro reversed.

In one of my VControl setup videos, I detailed a way to know for certain if your sticks are correct and if the gyros are correcting properly. I will post a link later...

Years ago I flew a Raptor 30 for quite a while with the belt twisted the wrong way. The tail spun backwards. Fortunately the tail blades were also on backwards and the TX and gyro were set up correctly for my mistake.

Surprisingly, I never noticed a difference in how the heli flew. One day I set the heli down next to my R-50 and noticed something different. I corrected my mistake but the heli didn't fly all that much better...

It was a R-30 and I wasn't doing hard 3D. Maybe it made a difference - I just couldn't see it.
