I don't know if it is dead but slow is a applicable word. Every sub forum seams slow. Years back there was a lot more discussions and questions on all subjects. Now models come and go so fast no one gets to find out what things are like. Just the latest hot dog.
I myself picked up two Blade heli's a 600X and a550X. They sat for a year be four I built them. I had been sort of out of the hobby and they were a great deal. Buy the time I built them they were discontinued. I wish I had bought more.
I enjoy building and flying but am not going to be in any 3D contest. So for me to spend $1200.00 on a kit is not practical. Not that I wouldn't like one. I still have a cellar full of nitro's with flybar's.
If you were looking on this sight I think you might have a Blade. Why don't you share what you have and how you like it.

While Blade helis might not be winning any world championships soon, they are great sport flying machines.

I'll start with my Blade fleet:

Blade CP, long since retired.

Blade 400, went to a new owner in MI after many years and hundreds of flights.

Blade 450 3D, first generation and still going strong. I will be converting this to FBL in the near future.

Blade 360 CFX, the newest member of my fleet and a great flier.

Blade 500 3D, a great flier and will soon be converted to FBL.

Blade 500 X, once again, a great flier.

My flying style is "Old Fart" with big air maneuvers and the Blade helis are well serving me. I just need to stock up on some parts for future maintenance requirements.

Gerry Cullan,
Gaui 200, 255; T-Rex 250, 450 SE & SA, Mini-Titan, Blade 450

Blades

I just posted a question a few days ago about my 600x being able to be stretched with a 700x boom and TT if it can be done?

Just crashed my 300CFX yesterday playing and pushing my limits of eye sight and old reflexes.
Don't like that you have to buy the swash driver arms (follower arms) to get the plastic ball end part! Metal could definitely be better quality too. But that being said I still like the heli, it's a lot of fun and fairly inexpensive so I'm not bashing them!

I have a bunch of Blades and watch here often.

Most blade flying type people have probably switched over to quads!

Seriously, recently it seems everyone I talk to and mention I fly helis either has a drone or knows someone who does! Or "one of them with four propellers" they say!

60% of the time, it works every time!
