Trying to kick some interest in the Yuneec forum here on RR.

I just picked up one of the 4k combo's with the case. I'll let my kids/wife put it under the tree so it'll be a few weeks before I see what it's like.

I did fly a 3DR solo and have seen enough phantoms do know what I was comparing to. money to features seems as though the Typhoon is hard to beat.

Suddenly feeling the urge to restore an old SUV

Been thinking very hard about buying one of these myself I even drove up to the store just to see it in person. wondering if it would hook up to goggles easy. I don't have any but have been wanting to get them as well

had my first few flights on my q500 4k yesterday and I also have a phantom I have to say the q500 is packed with features and flies great it was about 15-18 mph winds and the q held its own I expect to see a lot more of these flying around soon !!!!!

Flybar? What's a flybar?

Love the Q500

Just bought my Q500 4k and love it!!! It flies great and smooth so far but only about 4 flights in. I noticed it doesn't move very fast at all compared to my blade 350 I have. camera is awesome. batteries seem to drop quicker than I would have thought. Gonna start timing my flights and post back I don't want to hurt the batteries. I know it has a battery volt meter but I haven't flown anywhere close to 25 minutes yet and seems the batteries are quickly down to 11.3 volts. How low can I take them before hurting the batteries.

Run them through a few cycles and they should start lasting longer, like any lipo. Personally I will stop flying them when they hit 11.1 V Thought that is a bit conservative for in-flight voltage reading. Also temperature has a big play here and with our colder weather they will not last as long.

I have just a few flights on mine so far also. It's slow even in angle mode with the slider all the way to the "rabbit", but manageable and appropriate for a video camera lifter. I've read that the latest firmware allows for faster speed in angle mode.

Once I get out to our flying club I may try the full manual mode. I think this will release it from the computer controlled speed limiter and should allow me to see how fast it'll go. I don't imagine it'll fly like my Leap 3D but should be fun to zip around.

My main issue is learning how to run the camera. I've had a couple of flights where I thought I was recording video and got two .MP4 files that could not be opened on my computer. Another flight seemed to indicate it was recording but no file on the SD card. I'm sure it's me not following proper procedure, but just the same an issue I need to figure out.

Also the camera mounted on the handle doesn't reliably connect to my phone ( A Galaxy Note 3 ) - says "Network Anomaly" a lot. This has been reported by others and I haven't tried anything to fix it other than rebooting my phone.
