Thank you for taking the time. 14lbs. seems a bit heavy for 700 size blades...unless you turn up the head quite a bit 2200+ for 3D. But for 750's it's not bad. 750's at 1900-2000 would fly it nice. Santiago says you wouldn't want to fly the NHP's at that higher RPM, but I used to fly Edge 753's and they were fantastic at that higher head speed. Edge is gone now but I think "Switch Blades" are the replacement. Anybody know that for sure? Thanks again for letting us know the weight.

When I have time this weekend, I'll check 12s and 10s packs to see where I'm at. Thanks for the advice. ..

14lbs is not bad with 2 X 7S packs for big aero maneuvers, and even 3D with smooth transitions (AKA not smack 3D) with 710 and 720 blades.

AT what RPM? That is to be determined by the pilot's style.

I fly the style I described with a 12S setup @1600RPM and get a 7-8 minute flight

You will have better collective response with the NHP 743 or EDGE 753 if you can clear them, but with bigger disk comes a slightly less agility.

I say slightly since all that also depends highly on the FBL unit and setup
Be aware that you will quickly shorten the thrust bearings life swinging +235gram blades above 2200RPM

IMO it is unnecessary to fly big +740mm blades above 1800RPM, unless one is doing speed trials

These are the numbers from Mr. Mel's head speed calculator. I like more of big stuff and lower head speeds, the ripping 3D smack is cool, I'm just not that good yet....lol. This is with a 17t pinion, 455kv kde motor, kosmik 160hv. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
