Had a little incident today...my worst so far. So, I'm in need of parts.

I got this 600SE airframe second hand. I'm not sure if it's a V1 or V2. Are there any tell-tale features that can help me tell which version I have so I know which parts to order?

if it ain't broke, break it.

A few IRCHAs back, I picked up a spare maingear or two for mine, V1, and
when I got home, found it was the wider one, assume the V2 version? So
maybe that is one place to look.

Edit......part#4186 and looks to be 11mm wide..........

you mean the thicker 13mm main gear? I have the mod1 106t herringbone main gear, part 4183. AFAIK the only time it got thickened is with the SX series, and not part of the SEV2.

I'm looking at mikadousa's site now but, between the SE and SE 2009-2012 parts, there's a lot of overlap. It's hard to tell which parts are unique. But, the main gears shown in both are 4183 aka the thinner gear.

I think one of the main differences might be in the frames, as they are sold as V1 for $27 per side and V2 for $38 per side. But, I don't know how to tell which ones I have.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah, sorry, 4183 is what I have also. Don't remember that package saying
it was for the SX series, but was a while back,,,dealing w. Ready-Heli at
that time.

And no, I am not sure about the differences in the two otherwise either.
Did they upgrade the head to incorporate the follower, eliminating the
seperate piece, or am I still talking about the SXs??

ya, that was SX upgrade. I guess you could call the 690SX the 600SE V3.

The more I'm looking at it, I think just the sideframes got a V2 designation rather than the whole airframe. Otherwise it's just SE & SE '09-12.

And, looking at the sideframes the V2 do not have the o-ring hooks for the batteries. So, that may be key---my busted up frames had the o-ring hooks.

if it ain't broke, break it.

V2 frames use the slide in battery tray, and have no "floor" for the batteries to rest on since they are strapped to the tray. Also have slightly beefier landing gear mounts, and no "O" ring hooks as you mentioned.

Sounds like I'd need to get V2 frames + trays & mounting hardware if I upgraded. I'll stick with the V1 frames with the floor since all my packs are set up for strapping down each pack separately.

Thanks for your help, guys.

if it ain't broke, break it.
