I'm not 100% sure but if SAB has a patent on the Goblin they should probably be using Mostro and ALZRC and then when that's done Jan Henseleit can sue who ever won that fight. It's really hard to be original with a concept like a model heli since everyone eventually lifts good ideas from one another and then adds to them.

Patents seem to only be enforced for Apple. And copyrights only exist for Holywood.

I'm curious if Sab would pursue an injunction, could they sue for damages? And would it be worth it?

I look at it as an evolution of model helicopters.

I don't think I would buy a clone though. they cut corners some where ?!

I more or less had to upgrade the bearings on my Aligns, There were some that were less than adequate for their purpose.
I'm sure the bearing's on a clone won't last long before they develop wear.
At least that's what I would be concerned about.

Patents and Copyrights are usually printed on toilet paper because that is what they are worth.

You have to have deep pockets and a very rich infringing company to make it even worth considering. Then they can tie you up in court proceedings for years and you have to prove your patent is valid in the first place. Every patent the patent office issues is not valid on it's face. There are firms that buy patent rights. They gather rights until they have a process locked up and then start suing every one.

I laugh every time I hear one of these threats. Good luck with that one.

Clown, how in the heck did you miss this on HF, too? There's been a monster thread on this ALZRC Goblin clone for over a month.

I wouldn't mind trying one to see how it compares. I'm open to it. It looks good to me. In many ways I think it is very comparable to the Goblin 380.

First I have heard of it. Thanks for posting clown. Then again I have never owned a Goblin. My initial feeling of patents is as soon as you apply for one the word is out and the vultures grab it and it passes customs ,,,then delivered . For the small guy it can be a pricey nothing. It seems there is no incentive to apply for a patent for a small guy. You can get a patent but good luck keeping illegal products from reaching your shore.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I'd like to know what ESC they are running in it? Listen around the 34 second mark, when switching from S1 to S2, it ramps up to speed, not just BAM!

That's cool.

The Devil tail shaft(hub not part of shaft),tail hub, tail pitch links,& tail grips are different. I`m not sure if the G380 tail pitch links will fit Devil tail pitch fork or vice-versa. The tail grips are 5mm wide instead of 3mm. I`m not sure if the Devil tail grips would fit G380 tail hub and tail spindle because I never tried to see if they fit or check bearing sizes. Since they would be a drop in fit,I may adapt the G380 with Devil tail parts if they hold up in flight so I can run Halo tail blades on it. All the shafts are the same sizes.

The Devil main grips have a very slight different shape. My canopies were switchable between kits. The booms should be too. The frames are different thickness. Devil frames are 1.5mm thick.
