For Info
I have received a letter telling me that MHW has ceased publication and the Nov/Dec version is the last. Pity.

And that is why I don't waste my money on subscriptions. I've been burned too many times, i.e., no magazine and no refund.

I support the magazine rack at my local hobby shop. I might pay more, but at least I'm not being robbed.

Big Loss..

I don't like hearing about any rc publication going away, along with a lot of other things these days in reference to our hobby.. the game is changing rapidly...
HW to me was one of the best mags available for our hobby, that covered both pod and boom and mostly for me scale heli's..
It will be missed..

And the selection was already thin. I am not getting a subscription to drones are us. The helicopter hobby is changing and I think shrinking. There are so many different facets like you said Stan, scale, 3D, FBL, nitro, sport, etc. Losing any is not good and this is like another chip in our foundation.

Not really true for I called Traplet Publications asking for refund of the remaining 15 subscriptions. This was plainly accepted by the publisher.

You are lucky if you actually got a refund. I lost to 2 VW/Dune Buggy magazines, 1 slot car and 1 heli magazine. And this is just within the last 5 years. Like I said, I'll buy from the magazine rack at my local hobby shop.

What's a magazine provide that you can't get surfing the net anyway? Like here on RR? For free?

The forums do everything you could want in a magazine and more. Can search any topic, browse galleries for heliporn, see videos, shoot the breeze with likeminded people, etc.

Magazines are like newspapers to me; obsolete. Oh and they're mostly ads.

Why would I pay for that? RR is free.

I'm uncomfortable bringing my tablet into the bathroom. That, my friend, is what magazines are for.

Oh you're one of those dudes that camps out on the John. Eat fiber! More than a few minutes and you're doing it wrong!

Ever see a wild animal take more than a few seconds to poop? It's not natural for it to take twenty minutes.

I like to dump like an antelope on the Serengeti. Got better shift to do. No time to read.

Dang - that 20 mins is like last private time I am left alone to consider what is on my mind. If I use the time too quickly, I feel like I missed out.
