I tried the 60mm and the 68mm blades today , with the 60 mm the gain went up to 48% but the tail would spin 180 degrees in pitch pumps , with the 68 mm the gain went down to 38% and the tail only went 25 degrees , so neither of them worked , I am also using the tail servo off of my warp which is a compass brand but looks a lot like the mks ds 95i and the gears fit too , so they could be re branded, it is a micro(?) servo would that make a difference , I do have a spare bk 5005 I could try if it will make a difference

If your tail is blowing out you def need more tail gain.

I briefly tried the 13t pinion and 3000 headspeed , no real change with the rudder still blows out with full collective but it sounds angry so I've gone back to the 12t and 2800 hs. next I'm going to try the zeal 62mm blades , I am confident that these will help they are slightly bigger than the switch blades but a little thinner(cross section) I am also going to reduce the collective a little , I don't think I need as much as I have

so today was better , inverted punchout , the tail didn't budge upright about 20 degrees but I heard some bogging , I think I probably have uneven collective , which I will sort out tonight as well as a little reduction in the overall collective,
I know its only numbers but the tail appears to be holding well with a 30% gain , from experience this is very low but if I go higher I get a wag, I could go up to 33% without any problems for the majority of the flight but things like really fast funnels get the tail wagging so I think I will leave it there.

Move in a little on the servo arm, custom drilling the wheel as needed. The mechanical gain is too high in the system.

will do, I also went through the swash detail menu(again) and it was still good with the adjustments I made earlier, I did, however, take out some of the collective , I think I remember thinking that with the lower headspeed I would need a little more than I normally use so I put in 13.5 degrees , guess I don't need that much and with the condition menu I can try different percentages to see what I like , so right now I still have the 13.5 on cond 2 , but 11 degrees on cond 1 , and its really easy to adjust , i'm going to try that and mod the tail servo tomorrow

I tried it this morning and I think I've fixed it , there is no more swinging with pitch pumps and the climb rate is still pretty good , I tried it at 2700 and 2800 although I prefer 2800 rpm, tonight I will move the rudder servo hole in a little to see if I can get the resolution a bit better , I feel like I am now going in the right direction

I moved the ball in on the servo horn , possibly too much but its an experiment, the left and right amounts came out to 152% and 142%, 152% is the maximum so I had to adjust the pushrod to get full movement on the tail slider , I did fly it this morning and was able to increase the gain to 44% which in numbers is low but it feels ok , maybe its how smaller heli's behave , don't know for sure but it semms ok, I am going to try and find a servo horn that doesn't have any holes in it so that I can put one in between the two options I have now

Yeah it would be nice to get those number LMT numbers somewhere between where they were and are now.

Remind me because I haven't looked for a while and am running around at work right now......is there a response rate in the RUDDER expert menu?

the only thing I see like that is the control delay in which would soften or sharpen the initial movement off centre

You might pick up that used 9257 that's in the classifieds. Nothing works quite as well as a Futaba servo with a Futaba tail gyro.

quick question, I just watched the new nick Maxwell governor setup video and he says that for servo type , for an electric , that analog works the best , I've had mine on 1520(digital)as I thought that was the type of servo I am using. what difference would it make , should I try analog? I am a little confused by this so any explanation would be appreciated
thank you

I've heard both Anthony, coming all the way from the factory. Try it both ways and see what seems to work better. Since we have more trouble with the esc not keeping up with the controller and not vice versa, I can see where the analog setting on the 750 might work better. Except on Tuesdays and Fridays.......

I changed the head dampeners in my x4II and it definitely made a difference in the precision of the heli, but I think I'm noticing a trend with all my heli's , there is still a little tail kick under certain conditions , these being reducing the throttle after high collective , but I think its a governor problem and not the tail, what I noticed today was on a fast climb when I get to the top and relax the throttle the headspeed seems to go down to below where it should be and then come up , this is what's giving the tail kick, my gain is a 6% . is that too low or is there some other adjustment that I can make , if I go to say , 10% , the motor chirps
