I've done my gross tuning and now I'm into the details, nearly everything is good, but the stops on the tail are too hard there is a little bounce , I think I can work that one out, but if I jab the elevator (not too much Dr Ben) the head wobbles in both directions and lowering the ail/ele gain doesn't stop it , what should I adjust to stop this behavior.

I had that problem with my Freya that has a 750 on it
I turned down the degrees of rotation per second rate
on both elevator and aileron and it stopped doing it

and it only made a small difference in how fast the heli rolls or flips (soften it up a bit)

I don't know if that is your problem though

Try lowering control gain by 2-5 percent. If it persists take a short video so I can see it.

I lowered the Gain to 31% (in increments) and while the bounciness stopped there is still some interaction, I am working on taking a video ,

so far this is the only way that I can find to upload a video , if you are not comfortable opening it then don't, I can see the interaction in the video but its hard to see , let me know what you think

Honestly Anthony the resolution in so low I can't tell what the model it doing, certainly not discreet adverse behavior. Get it closer in. I'm wondering if it will go better if you email me a zip file at max resolution.

I will try and take another video this weekend , my dog chewed the tail blades so I have to order another set, I will probably have to get my daughter to video for me I did the last one with my cell phone single handed so its not very good, but at least I know how to upload it now

Inadequate ele D gain plus a bit too much control gain.

radio's back , 2.0 update successful but I still have the wobbles, I thought that my servos may have had to much play in their gear train but they are pretty tight , so I don't think its that, did I mention that my e5 is on 6s .
I particularly notice it in tik toks , it looks to me like the rudder is over centering but there is also an aileron interaction too, if I do continuous tik toks with out corrections it slowly twists to the left, I have concentrated on my right hand to see if its me putting in extra input but I'm 99% sure I'm not.
I also looked for the d-gain to adjust that but can't find it now , I guess its been renamed or incorporated into one of the other tuning parameters
on a side note I did play with the style parameter using the condition switch this morning to switch between the 2 , what a great concept I can instantly feel the difference , it will make tuning a lot easier for me as I can instantly tell if I'm going in the right direction or not , I'm really glad I switched I love the feel of the way it flies

Sounds like a governor and/or rudder pre-comp issue.

Anthony,

1) Did you go through the swash detail menu/set up? Particularly on direct link models, it will noticeably improve flight performance by removing interactions that, yes, the controller does work to suppress, but which still give it more work to make the model fly well.

2) D gain is effectively Stop Tune. Is the wobble continuous or just a shudder on stops? Remember the E5 needs to run at about 2500 to fly well and for the tail to work right with its 4.5:1 tail ratio. Make sure you have the Pit>Rud FF mix going the correct direction and tuned correctly (typically around 5-10%).

the only thing I did on the detail menu is to level the swash top and bottom , other than that I didn't know what other things to check

Read the instruction for the detail menu. It explains it all. If you want even more detail, read the V1.4 manual. It's in there.

I've had a look through the menu and feel that I need to adjust the ele-ail mix(number 9 in the swash detail menu) is this done statically at first then fine tuned with flight or all in the air?

my head speeds are 2250 and 2300 , that is what castle recommends and is in the yellow as far as overhead goes( castle said to go a little over what was recommended) does this mean that i wont be able to tune out the wobbles or that it will be more difficult?
