...something to do in the Winter time!!

...something to do when its raining!!

.

Build of Materials needed which can be obtained from various dealers:

• Frame (what size quad your going to build?)
• Quadcopter Bundle deal, Combo?
• Flight Controller
• Motors
• ESC’s (Electronic Speed Controller)
• Propellers
• LiPo Battery
• FPV Camera
• FPV Transmitter / Receiver
• FPV Antenna
• FPV Goggle / Monitor
• Recording Camera
• OSD (On Screen Display)
• Voltage Regulator / Power Filter
• Miscellaneous Items (connectors, battery straps, plastic parts etc.)

In part 1 of the low-cost racing miniquad drone build video I look at the "bill of materials" needed to construct your own FPV racing mini quadcopter based on the ZMR250 frame.

Watch at YouTube

Part2:
Low-cost ZMR250 miniquad racing FPV drone build I show you how to prepare the arms by mounting the motors and wiring the ESCs.

Part3:

In this part of the ZMR250 low cost mini quadcopter racing drone build we add the arms to the main frame and do most of the wiring. Two options are demonstrated -- simply joining the wires directly and using a very simple and cheap home-made power distribution board.

Part4:

In this part of the low-cost FPV mini quadcopter drone racer build series I look at the Naze32 board and how it is installed/programmed. If you want to skip past the configuration stuff you can jump to 31:24 and if you wait until the end, you'll see whether this little mini quadcopter flies :-)

Part5:

Build your own low-cost racing miniquad using the ZMR250 frame and, in part 5 of this build-series, we install and configure the FPV equipment including the camera and the video transmitter.

Great vids and info. Many thanks for sharing all this mate.

250 quad racing is def going to be a very big segment of our great hobby imho. While I'm just getting into it, I'm already well and truly hooked, lol!

Cheers,
TomC

WOW great vids. Our club is just starting research on this for a course and adding a race to our fun fly. Are there any resources as to course set up, race procedures, standard practice, safety protocol, the nuts and bolts of running a race?

RIP ROMAN
