has anyone ever spun blade grips on blade 450x to change to leading instead of lagging? With this Curtis Youngblood total G, no matter what I reverse, whether in my total G or transmitter (DX6i) my collective is still backwards...up on stick is negative pitch. I'm thinking of removing blades from grips, rotating grips 180 degrees so now the ball joint would be leading and reattaching blade..problem solved. Anyone ever done anything like this?

I have reversed mine. I am using an Align 3GX controller and you simply change numbers in your swashplate setup from, for example, if they are minus 60, you change them to + 60. Flip over the blade holders and remount the blades. It works great

Meow,
Apparently the total g sets up differently than the 3GX ... On the total G the setup is done within the gyro itself .....

Tjk,

Do you have the manual to your gyro ?? I just looked at one online briefly and see that the direction of pitch can be changed by making the right selection within the computer interface program. See Page 6(e)

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Juan..yeah I got it to work..finally. I had go back to transmitter and put all servos to normal, except aileron..leave it reversed...then go to total G setup screen and reverse only servo 2. Servos 1&3 stayed normal. Now swash plate moves correctly with all stick movements..quite a bit of trial and error.

Got him all squared away. The Total G "manual" looks like a Futaba GY401 manual on steroids. One sheet of paper, lots of pictures and boxed in writing, and little in the way of actual organization.

Setup is nothing like the 3GX, it is much more like the GPro. In the 3GX, the transmitter mixing for swash control is used extensively. With the Total G (and the GPro), the TX can be relatively dumb and the Gyro contains the smarts. All mixing is done in the Gyro itself.

Yes and I also told you how to do it in your other thread.
