Anyone else have issues with stripping servos after a mishap, if not I'm curious what brand servos you're using.

I'm using MKS ds92A+ servos and every time I have an "FBL" tip over, and after a couple under-voltage incidents, I lose the gears in 1 to 2 servos. I have broke small teeth on various gears as well as large teeth on the output gear. The gears are $12 before shipping and are tedious to get to and tedious to change, especially the bearing on the output gear
Other than blades I haven't damaged anything on the heli, if I'm expecting a possible issue after setup changes I keep RPMs low and I'm quick to hit throttle hold. I'm not using the carbon servo horn braces, sometimes the servo horns break and this does not always save the gears.

I'm wondering if the MKS gears are fragile, or the DFC mechanics really hard on servos? I use to use hitec 5065 servos in various trex helis and screwed them into the ground full tilt(serious destruction) and I think I recall maybe 1 stripped out servo.. I've yet to have a serious mishap with the Warp.

All FBL helis are hard on servos during a mishap. I am not sure what setup you were referring to in the last part of your write up. FBl the servos are going to take a beating on any heli no matter what brand heli or servo.

Alright, seemed unusual, this is my first FBL heli. I've yet to have a serious crash and was getting frustrated rebuilding metal gear servos.

You're having lots of FBL tip overs?? Why ?? What FBL unit are you using ???

I have the Align 3G and 3GX units and not a one "FBL tip over".....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

I think I have it sorted now, but I must have experienced every possible fbl issue in the past few months, including one of my own setup flubs.

It would be swell if you posted your findings/solutions so that perhaps others can learn from it .....
