You can't use just a Jr dmss sat on it. If you are going to use xbus then you will have to use the receiver. I take it you mean you have the 731bx receiver that has a sat. The sat on them is mainly a telemetry sat with some receiver capability. What you need to do is make a wire that plugs into the xbus port on the receiver and it will plug into the sat port on the skookum 540. I don't remember which terminal going it but if you search it you will find it. It actually works very well. I was a little Leary at first but did it and flew it and was very surprised at how solid it was. I didn't go to the links jeep world showed but that might be what you need. It is easy to make the wire up so you wouldn't have to wait to get one

Sorry I was mistaken. That is to use 731 to jr tags xbus

To use your you will need to use the jumper from Rx to skxxx. I don't think sk has dmss protocol. If so then the sk should have a 4 pin connector out to a dmss remote / sat Rx then you will need to bind through skxxx. Can u bind through the sk ??

I did look at the link for the wire. That is not what you need that is for hooking up a receiver to the mini tags gyro. Won't work on skookum. Also skookum does support the dmss protocol and xbus. I have used it. You have to use a receiver just like you would with Futaba. Forget sats they are slowly disappearing. They are not as robust as using the receiver plus with xbus you only will need one wire and it is a better one than the sat wires. No you will bind your receiver in xbus mode b. You will not bind the skookum you will just pick the method of hooking up in their programming

Ladon
This is the xbus rx to tags mini xbus adapter. This allows you to run the tags mini on xbus vs the sat Rx attached to the mini oem.

I agree with LaDon,use a full size receiver. I recently lost radio control to two different helis. The only thing common to them was both were running only Spektrum satellite receivers. No more Spektrum satellites only for me.
Now I do think the JR DMSS satellites hold bind better.
If you want to use DMSS satellites with the SK540, here the info you need. http://www.skookumrobotics.com/wiki...MSS_Connections
Note note at bottom of page, you need to bind the satellite to the JR receiver and not through the SK540.

Yes you are right but he is hooking up a skookum. That wire won't work on the skookum. On it you also can't run a dmss sat. You have to make a wire to plug your receiver into the sat port on the 540. If he was flying the 720 he can just plug into the regular input port on it. I have used the skookum 540 clear with the dmss system. It flew great but support on the skookum sucked. We couldn't get the governor to work right and couldn't get any help so we gave up on it. Still got it and should sell it
