in the last few years i havent flown even one time, ive still got all of my machines but i seem to have lost interest for awhile, plus i got divorced, that didnt help things lol. ive been looking around on rr and youtube and man it looks like ive missed alot!! theyve got a trex 800 now!!?? is that basically a 700 frame with a bigger motor or is it a bigger frame as well??

If you only have to bend over once to pick it up it's a good landing.

Bigger frame. Lots of cool new items for us. I think a lot of us got away from the hobby the last several years, just coming back myself.

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

same question
Quite flying for a few years and now I`m moving.

it `s decision time.

Does anyone still want to buy jr and futaba top on line radios on 72htz

and flybar helis or do I throw them in the trash rather than pay more money to put them in storage ?

You can sell anything ... but just don't expect it to move fast or get much for that older gear ...

For example, I see 12MZs sell for $250, and 9CHPs for $50, these are in perfect condition.

9c's for $50?? wow, I'll have to start looking. im still using my 7c on 72mhz. i dont plan on going 2.4 . there really is no particular reason other than i dont see a need for a change

Once u spend 100-250 on a crash it might be worth switch for a more reliable communications link plus u save with fBL n Rx in one ?? Plus I love telemetry. No more guessing if the Rx link is ?able no more landing to see if the rx batt is low or to see my eagle tree mah used I got it right at finger tips I do land to look at the tx but no spool down it just land t hold look and flip out of hold take off I did keep my jr 8103 for back up n my glider as I can get twice the range with it but I wouldn't sell it for as cheap as they re going either ;(

Get a system on 2.4. Several reasons that may or may not apply to you now or in the future:

1. Frequency control is joker's wild if you go to any events and sometimes even at club fields.

2. Helis are still flying electrical storms, and it remains a giant PITA to troubleshoot an intermittent PCM lockout due to a randomly noisy bearing.

3. With the absence of traditional and fragile crystal filters, 2.4ghz receivers are far more resistant to crash damage and vibration.

4. Most current FBL systems are configured for some combination of serial busing or satellite arrangements which dramatically simplify installation.

72mhz stuff still works fine, but just understand that all lot of adjunct technology has evolved along with and is intertwined in the newer 2.4gHz systems.
