That's where the market is. They probably sell way beyond a ratio of 50:1 as well.

Well... you could look at it as the revival of all things RC. If your club gets new members flying, they will soon see the advantages of other less friendly flying machines.

Once you get started successfully, you are hooked. So rather than a glass half empty it could be half full and filling.

Remember those days beginning flying? remember how discouraged you were? If we can get new guys/gals past that, we might have a great path forward.

I did a ton of business there over the years, always satisfied, but I fly helis predominately now and they don't carry any that I don't consider toy-grade.

E820, Raptor G4N, X50F/E, E620, Forza 450, and some planks.

Actually, if you fly planks, they have a lot of stuff. It is just that our specific section of the hobby is so narrow that only a few specific merchants support it.

It isn't just Tower, just go into any retail hobby store, and look at what they carry. I'd be willing to bet that there is little, if any hard core heli kits, parts, etc.

Not even one little page. It was 1/4 of one page. Crazy. Drones are taking over what used to be the R/C Aircraft Hobby.

I think we need to understand that Quads are to helis as helis were to planks.!(Plankers didn't really like helis and Heli pilots don't really like quads.)
Personally I am hooked on FPV quads at the moment. But I still fly helis and Planks. I will be putting togeather FPV plank and Heli this winter.
Don't be a hater!

The issue between helis and planks is that you have two dissimilar platforms trying to occupy the same space.

The MR animosity is different, and has been beaten to death.

Unfortunately I only use Tower now if I need something like an electric prop. There are other online heli dealers that I would rather support, or places that don't have as much markup (coupon codes considered).

My recollection is that Tower had pretty good deals on major items like planes, radios, etc, but hammered you on everything else.
