I got mine yesterday from Grand RC. Nice people and super fast shipping. Align is onto something good with this bird. The only bugs I encountered is that you cannot use Spectrum satellite receiver and the video displays Chinese language. I am sure both issues will be resolved with a software update. I used a Spectrum 7700 receiver and had to select Futaba S bus to make mine work. That kept my setup to one cable type of setup. I was flying the bird an hour and a half after opening the box. The MR 25 is going to become very popular once the word gets out. It will not surprise me if as FPV racing becomes more popular more and more people turn to Align for a complete package. I have not seen anything else in the market that even compares to the ruggedness and contains the features that Align has packed into this bird. I believe that the MR25 is going to do for Align the same thing that their 600n did way back when. Oh one other thing I should mention, the kit does bring a 3s lipo.

They just release a new version of firmware. I belive it fixes issues with spectrum. Might want to check it out.

Do you mean it comes with a 3s batt in the kit? Also it looks like only the motors are the limiting factor for not using 4s setup. I bet the will release a 4s upgrade.

Yes the kit brings a battery so technically one could just by the kit and still be able to fly if money is tight. Not a bad deal. As far as the motors are concerned, this thing is very fast as it comes out of the box. I suppose that when the motors are rotated forward on the booms, the bird will be insanely fast so I am not sure 4s is going to be necessary.

OK, So am I the only one that bought one of these? Surely I am not, I hope.
So after 8 flight I can say this with certainty, this little quad is nice. So much so that I ordered a second one. Sure if you fly Spectrum and use Apple you will run into problems like me. I was lucky that the other guy in my field that bought one use Android stuff so we where able to update software on my quad also. From what ALign has posted it is only a matter of time for Apple to approve APP update.

Now for the bad news and thus why I ask if anyone else has one of these. Both me and my friend fly Spectrum. We both flew with receiver until the satellite update and now we are both on satellite set up. What we both have encountered is a nano-second jump in the entire system. Regardless if quad is in hover or outside flight. It almost sounds like the motors cut in and out. However it does it so fast that other than the small jump the quad makes and the sound change it does not seem to affect anything. I think it is caused by motor bearing interference. Sure many will say that this is not likely with 2.4 MHz But to me it looks like a problem we use to encounter when using 72 MHz.(if you are old enough to remember 72MHZ). Not sure if this is also a problem with Futaba or just Spectrum.

ANYONE?

Might be a loose connection or bug in software. I would point more on a bug at the moment. OMG I remember the 72 MHz days with my Raptor 30.

I do not think it is a loose connection because my quad and my friend's both do the same thing. I ordered the yellow version from Heli Direct and should have it here this week. I will set it up on an old Futaba radio I have and see if the problem persists.

What the difference between the mr25 n mr25P ?
The angle of the arms...level vs V angle respectively. Could not find anything else in the manual.

I have one each and I have not seen a difference in flight characteristics. I suppose that the amount of forward tilt angle that you could put on MR25P is slightly more than the MR25 because the motors on the MR25P sit higher. But I have not messed with any of that so I am not sure.

Only difference i can see between MR25P and MR25, is CG. MR25P has lower GC, There is no difference on the motor angles. Its not V tail setup. At lest this is to best of my knowledge.

Pretty sure I read (somewhere?) that the straight version can take up to 6 inch props but the P can only take up to 5 inch.

The P version's upswept arms results in less distance from prop/frame so maybe the reason it's limited to 5 inch props, esp. with an external camera mounted on front/top.

Not 100% sure about all this. Time will tell.
