great question!!

I am looking for the same thing.

Helivoy used to sell them but dropped off. I think he's into FPV flying now, but still comes on once in a while in the turbine helis section I think...

I tried those digital portrait but it won't play animated gifs

By today's economy in Brazil it's insanelly expensive to me importing those simply US$ 99,00

Hi Calil,
hmmm... the description for some of them says you can load video which is what I want to do.
since I am building a medical interior in a 429, I built a medical cabinet and want to install a working medical monitor in it.

I don't really want to settle for just a pic so we will see what I can get.

EDIT: While scrolling through the different MFDs I found that some of them include an SD card for you to load the content you want displayed on the MFD.

thanks

I mean the cheap ones, not the nice ones from dreamworks

I tried those coby digital portrait.

If my cockpick was bigger I would use a mp4 player (1.8".

But in another better economy times I would use those from dreamworks or http://www.iflytailies.com

I used to make the displays for Dreamworks and Iflytailies. I will still be supplying dream-works, but likely not at least for a few months. They do have some in stock.

For those who want to make their own, I use OLED and TFT screens from 4d-systems. There is some scripting and programming involved, and you need to be able to edit video clips into custom resolution formats. You also would need the USB programming adapter.

My source of choice for animations and videos has always been making my own by doing screen captures on flight simulators. Youtube videos are also a great source

the cockpits in these videos were 3d printed, laser etched, and cut, with OLED panels, and fiberoptic lighting.

for the fiber optics, you can get FO cable on ebay or google up suppliers. 1mm works best.

I have one of helivoys displays. They are incredible. These vids dont do them justice. They are much nicer, brighter and more detailed in person.

I was going to buy from dreamworks. But our "great" brazilian economy disrupted (too much corruption). Now the local money is 4 times undervalued compared to us dollars.

So by paying 100 bucks is like you guys paying 400 bucks for a mfd. I know this is my problem only but I'm trying to find some cheap alternatives for now.

If it was few months ago I would go for the DW mfds, I always bought stuff from dreamworks, Todd and Linda always were great with me and I really like Voy's works with this little screens.

I hope you understand Voy why I'm not buying from DW right now.

Calil, look up 4d-systems. These are the source for the screens I make. Would save you a few $, however with this being an Australian company, I think you would get hit with duties and bad conversion rates as well :\ ...

all best,

Voy
