Did a custom case at work through this company for some tooling for a machining center. Thought it useful for heli/ MR applications. Select your case you like then up top right design your foam cut out. Cost was not bad at all. I am not affiliated with them, but had a good experiance with them.

Here is an example:

Yeah, a good way to to do this on the cheap is to use your pick and place foam and shape it to size.

Then get some black fabric. Use automotive headliner adhesive and apply to the bottom of the foam.
Lay the fabric smoothly over the foam and let dry.
Use a very sharp blade and scissors to cut the fabric from the openings.
Do the same on the other side.

Your pick and place foam will now look super clean, will not pull apart, and will likely last for years.

Oh those look nice, but I have to ask, where is a good place to just get the cases preferably with the foam blanks in them? I would assume you could save quite a bit cutting the foam yourself, even if it didn't look quite as perfect.

I bought, and highly recommend, Seahorse cases. They are very similar to the Pelican cases, come in several colors and sizes, and the price is reasonable -- less than Pelican. You can get them with or without foam insert.

You can order direct or from one of several other online sources.

You can buy off the shelf at Bass Pro Shop, and likely others.

Great prices, free shipping and you can order extra foam. I'm not sure if these are for a limited time only.

Thanks guys, didn't even know where to begin on this. No bass pro, but there is a cabelas about 80 miles from me that I just happen to be working almost next to today, so I'll look there before I leave the area.

A friend built a charger case from this Seahorse. The online site has lots to choose from and fair shipping.

Since someone else mentioned the HF cases I am pretty sure this is their source... Or at least they are similar and appear to be good quality. I have one on the way to use as a power supply/charger case so will let you know. You can order them from Amazon as well if you want a little extra purchase protection.
