I have been building a scale 470 ah-1 cobra and it is nearly complete. I am using a ar7200bx for the flybarless unit and am having some trouble with it. I have programmed multiple ar7200bxs before but i cant figure this one out. I followed all the steps correctly but when i get to menu "L" in the setup the servos don't work the way they should. They are moving around the left aileron ball as if it was the elevator. I have all the previous steps setup right but i can't figure this one out.
The swash servos are also not in the right slots on the ar7200bx. The only way i can get the servos to move the correct way for pitch movement in menu "I" is to have the elevator servo in aux1, and one of the aileron servos in the elevator slot, and the last aileron servo in the aileron slot. the light for menu "I" is purple solid.
Here's a full setup list:

A:horizontal
B:200Hz
C:1520microsec (spektrum h3060 tail servo)
D:270microsecs
E:tail servo endpoints
F:reversed
G:arms are at 90 degrees and swash is level
H:140 degrees
I:normal,normal,reversed
J and K: pitch geometry is correct and pitch range is +10 and -5
L: not possible with servo problem

Any and all help or advice is much appreciated.
Thank You, EastCoastFlyer

You have to put the servos in the correct slots as mentioned in the manual. Then go to step "I" and set it so the servos go the correct direction. Make sure when entering set mode light "A" is solid not blinking (parameter mode).

When I put the servos in the correct slot and then go to menu "I" to change the directions none of the options work, they all move in a different direction than they are supposed to. As I said before, I've programmed multiple ar7200s before and I've never run into this problem

Have you tried servo reverse in the xmitter?

You can then use "M" to set the sensor direction.

Correct Ports

Looking from behind the heli forward, the left front is pitch (aux1), the right front is aileron, and the. rear is elevator..
Then use tx reversing to make each servo move in the proper direction...
Then get into your set up on the BX

Ok, i got that figured out with the swash servos. In the "I" menu I forgot that the light not being on was also an option instead of being user defined.

Next problem. The tail servo has very little travel. It is a spektrum h3060 mg servo. As far as I could find for frequency and center pulse was 270 microsecs and 1520 microsecs for the center pulse. None of the other options in menu "c" work with the servo.

Reduce

Try reducing down from 270....
Also check that you are at 100% on the travel adjust..
Not in my shop, or would try to offer more info..

Now that I set the gain should I go back into the setup and do "E" again because it still has very little movement.

I re-did the limits in menu "E" but that didn't seem to do anything. The servo still moves very little.

Increase the gain till you get full travel, then set your limits. What letter is the gain set to? Is the channel you're using to set the gain correct?

The gain is only showing up on the "A" light on the flybarless. My gain on the tx is around 74% right now. I'm also using a DX8. The channel for the gain is set for gear. On the monitor the gear/gyro channel shows no output either.

That's why the throw is short. I think the gear channel was used for gain when using older Jr dsm2 and DSMX radios.

Look at dkshema's very through post at the link below.

https://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t707104p1/

Your gain must be set higher.
