Well, I have a well used 700e, with the KDE adjustable motor mount upgrade. Upon inspection yesterday, I saw the mess of rust and dirt around the motor shaft into the lower support bearing. So, took out motor and the shaft itself has been ground down by flapping (I guess) against the inner race of the bearing. I had not noticed this before, but my fault for letting it get this bad. I have a new bearing laying around, but it fits too loose now (of course), since the shaft as been made a little smaller.

Good grief. Don't know what to do. Please tell me if buying a new motor is my only option.

Assuming you are using an Align motor, they have shafts available for all their 700 class motors (With bearings).

For instance, the 850MX motor shaft:

You will need an Arbor press and a few sockets/extensions to press the bearings out and to press the motor can apart.

I figured this would be suggested, thanks. I don't have the press and don't want to purchase one. I'd mess up the job somehow anyway Looks like a new motor...
