What ever you do, do not tell congress or they will vote to send aid to Mars.

yea congress sends aid to all these places...but yet our own Social Security Fund is more than likely not going to be there when I retire in 30 some years....yet privatizing was deemed a bad thing?

The only people privatizing social security is bad for is the politicians who wish to throw it all over the place by "redistribution" of wealth for the "common good". Even a small amount of privitation would take money out of Washington, D.C. They will not allow that.

Of course the more realistic political definition of the"common good" in today's world is redistribution of wealth to the lazy, uneducated, unlawful, uninformed, ignorant, free sh#t crowd, illegals and by all means, terrorists.

Liberty once lost, is lost forever.

Think the better ? Is why are our mars rovers researching a mountain vs the caps where life may presently be ?? It doesn't take a rocket astrobiologist to say hey here are signs of water let redirect curiosity over to there ???

What makes you think there might be life in the Mars polar caps? Temps there run well over 100 below zero and the permanent ice cover is part water ice under a thick layer of frozen CO2.

Unless it's some form of life radically different from that we know on earth the most likely locations to find it are where water is liquid. Mars is a cold planet... Average temps well below zero, highest ever recorded is maybe 70f at ground level in the low latitudes during martian summer... That's where you want to be hunting for water and life.
