Yeager you have some stunning Nova Cuatro photos in your gallery.

What beautiful helicopters!

A petrol Futura would possibly have to be the perfect helicopter. It’s such a waste that someone can’t bring them back into production.

Great service from their side, with the paint job. Good to know. My Robbe's are all pod and boom - unfortunately.

I see from the product code you send, that they are left hand rotation blades.. They are on a Cuatro, Right, but that's a right hand rotational machine?

I don't think I'll be able to use 140mm on the tail, due to ground clearance, but 130mm is possible with some safety device build in to protect the tail movement on the ground.

Thank you. Yeah, I had to search hard, to find and collect them, 6-12 years after production ceased, and the same with the spare parts. Anyways, now they'll have a long time ahead of them. Soon they'll be back out flying.

Obviously, I agree on the sad part that nobody's willing or able to bring them back into production. I can't see how these machines can even be compared to most of the cheap cr@p that's selling these days.

Ahh.. That explains the left hand rotation, which for you scale is the correct choice!. Great, enjoy, and thanks for the advise on the blades, I'll initially test fly my three and four blade cuatros with the blades I already got, and then consider to order a new set of blades (main and tail). I'll be using 130mm on the tail and planning on running between 1175-1375 rpm on the head.

Yes those head speeds should be good. I’m not sure if you will need the bigger tail blades with pod and boom. The BK has such a big area of fuz next to the blades that I think the tail becomes a bit inefficient. Only a guess though. Make sure you don’t use the speed up gears in the tail box either. They had a bit of an issue of wearing out quite quickly. I have an issue at the moment where the 45 degree gears are just about shot in mine. Looking at changing over to Vario gears but they don’t make 45 only 40 or 50 degree.

Yes, I’m fully aware of the problematic speed up tail gears. I’ve replaced mine according to recommendations, and one of them with the pricier bevel gears. Thanks for the reminder. You can still get the original gears for the Robbe at some internet shops. Let me know if you need links for that.

I mentioned in this link that the Robbe S0318 might be a better solution, based on other peoples advise;

I think Perth RC might have the S0319 in stock (according to webpage);

There is an old danish (now online) store that has the S0318 gears (which comes in a set of 2), these are pricy but I suppose they are expected to last a lot longer, due to the design. I have a set of these, from this shop, installed in a Cuatro, but I haven't had opportunity to test yet;
