installed a 3sx on 550 pro DFC. Talon 90 esc and futaba 14sg. Had a naza system prior to the demon and had to reverse throttle on the futaba to arm esc. Tried reversing throttle with the 3sx but still nothing. Can anyone help?

The throttle channel must be reversed on thr TX for the ESC to arm.
Do not do it on the 3sx.

What RX are you using?

Since the esc plugs into your receiver, I would make sure the throttle movement is correct. If you have a servo monitor on your radio, look at what the throttle channel is doing. If it is not going all the way down it won't arm.

Still with S bus, I chose to put the throttle/ESC on the RX. You can use either one, RX ch3 or the 3SX throttle slot.

Thanks guys, I figured it out after bypassing the 3sx with the throttle and moving the cp lead to ch. 6. I should have known.

3SX Initial settup
Santiago,
I just put a 3SX on a new Synergy E5. This is my first 3SX and my first E5. I used the setup wizard front to back. I had trouble getting my ESC to arm at first also but finally got it working and have hovered the E5.
I don't have confidence in my initial setup however and I would not dare trying to use Rescue at this point.
What advice do you have as far as initial gain settings, switch & knob assignments to use while tuning this thing out?

Futaba 14SG
Futaba R7003SB (SBus wiring to 3SX)
Edge 120HV (throttle wired to the 3SX. Aux lead not used.)
Outrage BL9180 cyclics
Outrage BL9188 tail
2S lipo Rx batt

Anyone else welcome to chime in as well.
Thanks

Ok as far as assignments go I use the right nob for head gain and left for tail gain. If using sbus you'll have to assign under the rc tab otherwise manually wire the channels and match in the futaba. You won't be ready for horizon or rescue untill you've dialed in your head and tail. Once that's where you want it you can reassign the head gain channel to a switch as well as the tail gain channel for fine tuning. To get hovering the only thing I had to change was tail agility. It's set way to high under the 520 settings. Drop it down to 6 and add a little expo. Your gains should be around 60 or so to start. I'm running 75 at the tail and about 65 on the head. At 1200 rpm she's rock solid. Keep me posted I'm glad to help.

Hey thanks. I had the gains set to the dials as you mention. Saw that in the video Seasick78 posted on HF. Tail gain (agility) is a no-brainer, I think. If it wags, it's too high. If it bounces, it's too low. But what am I looking for in adjusting the head gain?

Any sort of wobble or instability during or after feeding input. I've learned for sport flying if it looks and feels good it is good. What is your current gain and head speed?

I'm not at home right now and I don't remember the gain setting. I am using the "450-550_default_202.hcx" file.
Head speed is around 2400. Using the CC Edge120 HV internal governor.
