I just received a message from RC Japan that Hatori is going out of business. What a sad day for nitro lovers.

EDIT: The news from RC Japan is not true. Sorry for this long thread. I am closing it now.

Me too

So I immediately searched for a pipe for my 105. Only place that seemed to have them was Hatori USA. I ordered it. I hope they really have them.

Very sad...

Always used Hatori headers on my pattern planks.

Would even "port" the exhaust flange.

It will be a sadder day if/when OS and YS go out of business. Hatori is just a victim of a declining business ultimately due to high nitro fuel prices compared to electric. I see OS is actively trying to convert many of their engines to run on gasoline. I hope it's not too late for them. Many of us still want fuel powered models, but nitro is simply too inconvenient and costly. Now the model manufacturers need to get on board with providing gas powered models if OS and YS are to survive.

unbelievable
When the top mfg. Of a product goes under..there's a big problem; they were a little expensive but the best. We can only hope that some of the talented Iindividuals who worked there can carry on maybe buy the tooling and start a new company.

I do a great decending funnel!

Glenn, HatoriUSA did not have these as of yesterday. I had messaged them regarding them as well and that is what was stated to me.

Just confirmed I was able to snag the last one at another retailer online, but don't know who else has them.

The email also said there was a replacement for $114.00 too. M-Studio looks like a FunTech or equivalent style of pipe so there is something out there. Hatori made nice stuff but it was very expensive.

The news is devastating. Hatori has the best pipes and all my nitros have no other pipes but Hatori.

TMoore, I'm being told the M-Studio pipe is exactly the same as the OEM OS Powerboost pipe. However, I'm a big fan of the header and grommet mounts so I'm glad I was able to pick up one more for my 2nd nitro build.

CYE makes the MP7 which works on the O.S.105...providing you like muscle pipes. And it comes in black!

say it aint so! ANOTHER RC related company going under?

whats all this doom and gloom huh? you all are just negative about everything...

guess they couldnt figure out how to put a muffler on a drone.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Sad
I've been out of the RC Heli and RC-Airplane stuff for a few years now. It's sad to see all the Nitro stuff going. Man I loved the sound and smell of Nitro craft. I was lucky enough to catch the haydays before the E-stuff took over. I still have an un-opened case of wildcat 15% heli fuel, anyone need it? Been stored in cool basement, never opened.

I know some folks with Japanese contacts. I would be interested to know if the economy and cheap Chinese offerings forced their shut down or if Mr. Hatorri just decided close up shop and retire.

I fully agree that the company's loss places a real hole in the nitro exhaust marketplace. His stuff was beautiful.

30 years of running the same pipes. Now they're gone too.

Anyone called Rich Sabin yet for comment?

How much of the stuff in the attached photos is still available?

I'm getting too old for this hobby.

I hope YS or OS or some other companies will take the ownership and continue on producing the Hatori pipes.

rudyy, if it wasn't profitable for Hatori, it won't be for OS/YS either.
