Hi there

I have put together a new Golblin 380 using the Ikon flybarless controller, the problem I'm having is when I am setting the cyclic travel in the swash plate menu in the software, when setting say 10 degrees of travel with full right aileron I only get 8.5 degrees of travel with full left aileron, no matter what I set the angle to I always get a difference of 1.5 degrees..

I have centred the servos correctly and have 100% throws in all directions, I have 0 degree pitch at mid stick and get pretty even +/- pitch throws.

The only head parts I can't set exactly level are the radius arms due to the servo to swash links been a fixed length.

I also have a Goblin 500 with the Ikon fitted and have perfect throws left and right aileron, I have attached a pic of the head but am now flummoxed as to what is wrong, the bird fly's absolutely fine and rolls evenly as far as I can make out.

Anyone else have / had this issue and know of a fix.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Did you have to change the servo center values a lot in order to get the servo horns at 90 to the main shaft?

There are 2 possibilities I can think of off top of my head....
Do you have any calipers?
If you do you might double check servo to swash linkages for equal size on all 3.
I have seen this before on my models with push/pull setup linkages and was in fact ale to resolve it after I became much more confident with adjusting advanced parameters.
I must say though even after I was able to achieve equal throw all the way around with cyclic throw limit it still felt the same in air.

I think the reason why is because even at something as drastic as 8 on one side and 10 on the other you are still able to roll a machine well over 600 degrees a second at the lesser 8 degree throw which is incredibly fast.

If you verify the first is precise and not the cause and would like to achieve the equal throws and maybe aren't comfortable enough to attempt this I will be happy to help walk you thru this with skype or video messenger.

I would like to see a few things before just beginning to alter throws to ensure your the most optimized.
