OS .61 SX -H "WC" Engine trouble SOLVED ! Finally ..after many many hours of checking all of the fuel system and 60B carb and gaskets I tried something kind of odd for me. I disconnected the Aux. Fuel Tank completely and just ran the fuel line strait to the main tank right from the carb ... (I had cleaned and changed everything fuel lines, clunks etc..before.) So with the "pony" tank disconnected ...wallah ! My engine ran smooth and had NONE of the symptoms of before. See original post >>(after warming up it would lean out, start detonating, wind up,then die ..overheated ) I ran about 3/4 of a tank through it with hovering and short power climb outs to try and get it to do the same thing it did before ...and... WOW ! unbelievable. The symptoms are all GONE and it runs GREAT. I guess that little tank has a hole or clog some where .. I did change the clunk in it and fuel line so.. ??? I'll take it and run !! Thanks for all of your help out there and feedback. The O.S. .61 SX-H "WC" is one of the greatest engines ever made in my opinion and I did not want to change it ..but I was prepared to do so .. I got a hold of a OS 70 rebuilt.. Now I'll have a spare engine ...nice ... Peace Out Guys !! ..best.. Geordan ..with a happy Vigor CS

Hey there . yes it is.. thanks. I originally got the airframe from a guy in Puerto Rico if you can believe that. I went through the entire thing and fully restored it to its original factory condition....right down to the original decals on the canopy . ( thanks to Rons Helicopters). These helicopters are VERY rare now and if you can find parts... They are expensive. I got very lucky and found an OS SX-H "WC" engine brand new in the box . So after about roughly $ 2500 I had my Vigor done. Then it didn't want to run... Needless to say..I was ecstatic to finally find out what the issue was. I am very happy with it. I think the JR Vigor CS 90 was one of thee BEST RC helicopters ever produced. Period. I will enjoy it now that I can fly it.

I know the JR distributor here in Spain ( Speedhobbys) is still selling old Vigors CS NIB for about 300-350 $. And there is plenty of spare parts for them at good price.

A field mate of mine has got 2 of them, last one this summer NIB.

I was tempted to buy one but I've recently got rid of all my single axis gyros to convert to FBL all my airframes and another FB head bird was not in my plans.

I must confess the Vigor has great performance and impressive presence in the air. Appart from the well known JR parts quality.

BR

Alberto.-

Respect and fly safe
