Thee tt39 low speed needle will actually affect your mixture up to about 60 percent throttle. In hover, I found that if you twiddle with the L/S needle, you'll have much better luck tuning it. You should be able to make small adjustments to it(1/8 turn at a time), and effect a big difference in your overall mixture. I'd put the l/s needle at the stock position and tune it for a nice hover mix, then worry about your h/s needle last.

Anyone? I don't have a manual for one of those anymore. It should be in there if you have it

you didnt say if you checked the pressure line from the muffler, did you? what kind of muffler are you using? im using a revolution brand torpedo style with two pressure tap ports (top & bottom) and had a problem with the plug falling out in flight that caused an immediate lean condition. this could be your problem. have also had the pressure line crack and leak, you may want to check/change this also. did you check to see if your muffler was still tight to the engine? are you running a fuel filter?

good point --I checked and double checked but still nothing, its definitly going lean for some reason either that or the carbs clogged, I had the h/s needle out 4 turns and it hardly passes air

You did not mention if you removed your highspeed needle while blowing into carb.
What I found, it is best to remove high speed needle, hook up fuel line from fuel jug and flush out. Fuel filter can be changed as well. Might as well change all fuel lines in heli. Muffler pressure fitting clogged?
Does it do it while tank is full?

Good luck !!!

Glow Plug!!!!

It sounds like your engine was keying off. When this happens the very first thing to check is your glow plug. It probably has a bit of ash on the very last bit of element. Change the plug put your needles back where they were and go fly.
