So I replaced the OWB on my G570 and when I took the OWB out of the pulley I noticed that the OWB could go through the pulley by its own weight, I tried 2 different OWB and both did the same, so I cleaned the inside of the pulley and applied a little bit of red locktite to the outside of the OWB and I didn't get a chance to try it for more then a week. I went flying today and The OWB is rotating inside the pulley housing, have you guys replaced the OWB of you 570 is it supposed to go through the pulley that easy? Is it defective? Any ideas?

Try using the green 648 bearing retaining locktite that will grip the smooth parts better. red wont fill the gap like 648 does. so clean both sides with alcohol or acetone then use a qtip dip in the 648 and use as a applicator coat both sides the inside of the holder n the outside of the bearing outer race then wait two mins and slide the bearing in. Don't use to much, as it will penetrate the bearing n gum it up.. that's why I wait two mins, to let tje air thicken the lock tite , so when the race starts to displace the locktite it will bead up n stay on the race not enter it. IMHO

JEEPWORLD2002 thanks for the tip but what about the OWB going through the housing by its own weight shouldn't be a little harder to push the OWB?

i dont own the 570 so cant say from putting one together but from experience from working at qww i can tell u i know the correct locktite is your friend . and you need gap filling then find sum thing to support the brg where it goes. follow the 2min routine.

yes, they leave clearance for the over spec outer races and thats why they locktite vs press fit them. makes for easier repairs and can use a wide range of bearings. Its as simple as heating, remove, clean, locktite new and insert, all done. with press fit you woulds need to heat, press out, clean, heat again, press in and all while keeping the heat from distorting the structural integrity of the pulley and this being aluminum, that would be difficult
