you have your heli tuned to fly to your liking

3rd pack im getting there
almost got here tuned to fly the way i like it
just need to lower the i tail gain and increase the head speed to 2300 and then buckle up were going to try some things oh and my tail piro rate might be a little fast last adjustment or i might try to get use to it

and my camera has a 60x zoom so it looks a lot closer than it is.

It usually takes around 5 flights. But my new goblin 500 with ikon, flew like 95% perfect the first flight.

I haven't even flipped it yet. So there may be some tuning. I was just super impressed at this ikon. This was my first Flybarless so I was expecting the headache of tail tuning times 4.
By the way
That's a beautiful bird you have there!

thank you
main thing id been having issue with was my tails were stopping and bouncing back on right stops and faint stops on the left ikon and vbar

so i bought a bk tail servo same issue so ive learned how to use the p and i tail gains and my tails are stopping nice

i notice some tail wag in the video when i was inverted need to lower the i gain and the chopper seemed a little jerky dunno if i should run the servos at 8.4 or add some expo.

Piro should be level.
Looks like you need to work on getting your swash level. When you do piros and the heli drifts to one direction during the maneuver it because your swash is not level.

A level swash will make a huge difference in the flight stability, and how the FBL unit is able to maintain level flight. This will determine if the flight is going to be stable or full of your corrections trying to get it to fly right.

First and most important steps during initial setup.

could also be a CG issue

This looks like a stock Align 600.

I have a few of these and flying with up to a 4000 6S 50C pack, which is about all you can shoehorn in the frame, the CG is still very close.

One or two ticks off on just one cyclic servo will show up in a Piro.

ill recheck it the cg and swash are perfect

i think i have a little to much expo on the cyclic stick i am a pincher

going for another flight today ill try not to put any pressure on the cyclic stick to see if the head stays flat ty

If you have the servos at the 90s swash flat and in the middle of its play and the blades at 0 pitch the head is pretty much done.
I always have eyeballed this Using the boom and lines on the frame.

I used to check the cg by holding the heli by the flybar. But not now.. So I used the blade grips disconnected from the swash. Holding them when they are perpendicular to the heli gives you the fore, aft cg. And parallel gives you right and left.

Most of that 5 flights was used to set up the tail.
The tail I set the servo at 90 typically with no gyro attached. I pick a hole in the middle of the suggested range. I set the tail blades at about 7 degrees (eyeballed) on gyros that want that (like Logictech ) and flat on gyros that don't (like the Futaba gy520 ).

Set the gain somewhere in the middle of the suggested range. Then I test it by twisting the heli suddenly to make sure the blades kick the right way. I have my hand pressing the tail blades so I can feel how far the blades kick, because this gives me an idea if the gain is appropriate or not.

And of course all of this is done with the motor disconnected.

CG and swash do play a role in good piros and other maneuvers, but...

Before you go changing a bunch of stuff to fix CG and swash issues, first look more at how your piros are executed. Piros do not have to be level "per say" if you know how to fly the disc during a piro and from what I can see, your piros were not perfectly flat when you initiated them.

On top of that, You look to swing your rudder with no corrective cyclic inputs. Your disc will hold that angle with no cyclic inputs until gravity and momentum take over. That does not necessarily mean your CG is off, it just means you need to pick an initiation point closer to level if you are not familiar with disc corrections during piros. Good luck and your bird is lookin good!

I can sense from your videos that you're not very comfortable giving cyclic commands during piros....am I correct? If you'd like some advice on flying piros...I'd be happy to help.

For now, you can start by practicing "disc bumps" during very slow constant piros so you can learn good cyclic timing and directional anticipation. Once you get that down you're in there and can vary your rates.

Again, nice machine WC!
