Hi guys. I don't do 3d at all. Just sport flying. So I don't need the crazy head speed on it. Never had a goblin before. I have a talon 90 esc and a quantum 4120-1200kv motor. It seems like a perfect combination for my flight needs. So what's the two Idle up I can use with it. Keeping in mind I fly sport and don't need to go 100% on it.

Idle1 80% and idle2 90%? Thanks in advance

Your question is too vague. If you're talking non-governor, and assuming the gear ratios are correct (i'm NOT a gobby owner) those numbers will get you started. Then you decide which you prefer. You then add "curve" to your "throttle curve" to reduce any bogging. You probably won't have any bog with sport flying, so just move the numbers up or down to suit your style. You probably won't want to get below 80% or you should consider changing ratios.
Your set-up offers a HUGE number of variables, so it makes it tough to just give you a Yes or No on this.
You may get more precise info in the Goblin room.

Hope this helps.

You need to get the Castle Link so you can programme the governor from a PC, it sound technical but it's easy and you'll be glad you did.

For sport flying HS on a 500mm blade heli ide say start with 2000 rpm. Your setup would hit around 2900 at 100% throttle so the governor would be holding back quite a bit which is a bit inefficient so if it were me ide drop a motor pully size or 2, I think the stock is 18T so a 16 or 17T would suit you better.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I have exactly the same setup, with the stock pinion (I think its 18t?) I have head speeds set at 2400, 2500, and 2600 with the castle governor. The 2400 seems very fast for my style of flying, However, I am starting to dabble in 3d stuff and I'm sure the higher head speed is going to be the way to go.
