Ok, reasons it's awesome:

It's good value.
It flys great.
Looks great.
Blade sound.
Best heli ive had for auto's.
Very easy and quick to build.
Can easily 3D with 2KG's of packs so long flight times.
Can be run on 10S out of the box with huge capacity for even longer flights (hard 3D @ 1750 for 6.5 minutes!).
Very few people have them so they get noticed and used value should be higher than the 700E.

Small down sides:

Canopy grommet inserts come unglued easily. (upgrade to quick release type).
Boom only available in carbon wrap so more costly in a crash. (Heli flys so well and in slow motion, (although is no slouch!), and is so visible in the air and unaffected by wind you won't be crashing very often anyway!)

60% of the time, it works every time!

I've had my trekker for a few year now, does have a presents! Those tail booms are really expensive, only replaced it once but ouch. If you think it auto's well with the 780's try a pair of the Align 810's. They kill power on aggressive flying but auto's are 2nd to none.

Canopy has a been a real problem for me. Tore up the grommet holes. Hard to find after market canopy mounts that work.

I turned the canopy posts down slightly in a lathe to make them easier to pop on and off, I also spaced the front posts out about 6mm using some washers as the canopy had to flex to far in which put the grommets on too much of an angle to the posts. I also use 90 degree R clips to make them easier to get on and off, you can get them from rc car shops. Another little tip is to use a small magnet to keep the clips on which you can then stick to the carry handle on your tx.

magnet trick sounds like a good idea - much better than my trick of using small flat black R clips and hide them in the grass at the field
<where'd they go...grrr..>

I wonder if I could use taller canopy mounts like off a 700N

Well the other advantage is if you do drop them in the grass you can use the magnet to find them, just wave it in the grass!
