Extreme cold weather seem to affect typing reflexes up to a month delay in motor skills,

and victims even develop short term amnesia:

Jesus, lay off the guy. Not everyone lives this crap. He just found out and is excited to share. Posting a couple to threads doesn't use up your time, just don't click.

I really don't know how this would be considered bashing but I was truly just making a joke. It was not meant to be hurtful and if the OP took it that way, I apologize....Ron

Hypersensitivity seems to be the new norm. It's going to get impossible to make a joke at all one day. Aside from puns, which few people find funny, all jokes come at someone's expense. Period. Think of any good joke you know and it will likely offend someone, somewhere, no matter how cute. Jokes range from insulting to light ribbing. And as jokes go, the second post seemed friendly and light-hearted enough to me. So my response to all the "lay off" posts is "lighten up."

MA in name only....we hope! MA timeline,

1982: MA distributes Schluter
1986: MA copies Schluter
@2000: Most Schluter US owners were flying x-cells
@2004: Half of MA's reps jumped my ass on HF for criticizing the cd-rom instructional manual was a joke: print it. I figured MA was going down if they were too cheap to print a manual for a premier product, sold my MAs.
2014: Germans bought MA.

MA: 25 years worth of common parts for its glow helicopters = TRUST. Still the name for a good glow heli.

It was obvious when MA clung to using 60 glow parts for their electric 600s that they "never learn"..."still doing it". Just like with the 46-50 glows....hardly anyone is saying "I wish they made more overweight and overpriced helis like these again"!

If only MA kept the Ion X1, reintroduced 660mm blades, and stretched the Furion 6.

660 vs 710? Who cares, close enough in size and feel if the weight is proportionate, but worlds different to a motor.

We now have every size of blade in the world nowadays except 640-660mm anymore.

May the new MA have a long and successful run.

"@2000: Most Schluter US owners were flying x-cells "

I think your timeline is a tiny bit off, by about 10 years.

I remember by 1990 Most Schluter and even GMP owners were already flying XCells. I don't mean all, but a huge majority.

That is the trend I saw in the Midwest. I am gaging by 2 AMA Nats, our Funfly, and competition in Dayton, which was one of the biggest in the states. We also hosted several FAI team trials here in Dayton.

I still own my first XCell (most of it), which burn about 100 gallons of fuel back in the day. That may tell you how durable they were.

The MA era, I guess we could call it that, was a very successful one

lol semantics...plenty of guys were flying Futuras, Novas, etc.

Robbe...Schluter....all ancient history.

Crazy idea: update the OLD MA helis, the 60 size ones (660mm @10lbs).

The Logo 600 SE with 660mm is a different beast than with 690mm blades. I would much prefer a 660 over another 600 or 700, its the perfect size for getting the most out of common 4035 style motors and cheap 10-12s batteries.

I always laugh at the fact that the industry came full circle. The nitro 46 became the 60 again with ever creeping displacement and blade sizing. The "upgrades" came full circle. In reality the issue was scaling. The smaller helis just flew poorer.

yes, but just a wish to find old parts, not revive the whole dinosaur era.

I agree w the practicality of the newer 660-ish electrics, and the low power and cheaper motor options.

It is pretty funny how these things have come around in proportions.

AFAIK, the new MA owners did not acquire much for inventory when they bought the name and the design files....they have a clean slate to come up with anything.

Please come up with something LIGHTER than the Whiplash or Furion

All joking aside, hopefully the new owners are successful in a very different heli market than existed even just a couple of years ago.
