Wow!!! I was in Iraq in 2008 and had a pilot doing the same thing. Thank goodness the outcome was not the same.

not cool, at :25 maybe two killed, plus who knows how many further on got mowed and or their heads chopped off, then what became of the crew? Mom Dad, your son died in the line of duty, of horse play, those damn military toys are a bitch ain't they.

lot of guys die showing off, adrenaline junkies.

I agree but the video says that no one was hurt (upper right) though that does not condone any of pilot's actions.

they always say no one got hurt, to protect the innocent, to say nothing of the massive pirouette at the end of the vid. At :25 he hits a box on the ground while a man hits the ground, something comes up into the air behind him, then he grazes the tops of the line of men by got to be inches before doing the piro and crash. ahh sand's a soft landing, maybe I'll try some piro loops over some next time (I know you won't like getting sand out of your machine, neither would I, it is something to consider).

Hey, a related question...

So the pilot does something stupid (not necessarily pointing to this video) and it causes loss of aircraft AND bodily injuries. Is the pilot given all the support of the military hospital system and the VA upon discharge?

I am sure that there are some guys that cause their own injury with stupidity. Do we taxpayers foot the bill for many years.

You guys know that I support the military, so don't make me out as anti-DOD.

I also heard the weapons officer of this flight was kicked out... he is along for the ride and does not control flight path. I think that he would be a bit PO'd that the pilot caused him his military career. Even if he might have egged the pilot on.

Please don't speculate, answer if you know policy.

Thanks to everyone who served.

Whether you get VA benefits or not is a matter of your discharge type (honorable or less) and that is a function of the military judicial system.
