Sounds like you have a real problem on your hands.

1. Did you ever get your PC to talk to the Brain?
2. If so, does it STILL talk to the PC?
3. I think you have a Bluetooth adapter.
4. If so, does it still talk to the BT adapter?
5. If it talks to either device, can you go into the setup software and take a look around to see if that can shed light on your problem?

The stuff above is looking for proof of life in the Brain.

6. Satellite receivers. One, or two?
7. If two, are they both DSM2 or both DSMx, and not one of each?
8. Do the satellite receivers work fine when connected to a regular Spektrum receiver?
9. Have you tried using the Brain with a single satellite?
10. Have you tried unplugging all your servos so you have just the satellites, power, and Brain hooked up, so nothing else can affect it?
11. Do you have a good battery pack that you could use to provide power just to the Brain and receivers, to rule out something going bad in your ESC or regulator?

12. Goblin? What size again, please?
13. What are you using for an ESC/Power system to your Brain?
14. Do you know the current rating of your regulator?

15. I know it's a pain, but have you tried hooking the Brain up to a standard external receiver to see if it still works?

That ought to keep you busy for a while.

Most of the stuff that you have asked me I have tried. I will try and make sure that my radio is ok by hooking it up to one of my other models and make sure it is putting out a signal. I am putting this on a mini titan and I did have everything ready to go when this happened. The sats are brand new I took them out of the box and installed them out of the wrapper.Every thing is DMSX. It is acting like it is stuck in the set up mode.
I am going to Toledo tomorrow, will try and talk to some one there about this.
I am going to try a whole new model in the transmitter and see if that makes a difference.... i doubt it because it is stuck in the set up mode with and without the tranny on.
All for now getting up early in the morning and heading for Toledo.

So with the PC or BT up and running, what happens if you go through the bind process after telling the Brain you have DSMx stuff?

Nothing happens. All I am getting is the red LED and the bind mode fails and I can not access any of the parameters. Cats like it is froze up. Even tried another model number on it.

It would appear to be "Brain Dead". Return it.

What if it can't communicate because the brain doesn't have the latest firmware?
I would try connecting it physically before returning it.

Talked to a lot of people yesterday at Toledo. I bought it from Experience RC and they made it sound like it was bad and send it back in to them. Another buddy of mine was working the pulse booth and an expert on the icon/brain showed me how to factory reset it and start over. I got all excited about it and when I got home last night I set to work on it......well it reset alright, BUT, when I go to bind it the flashing red and green lights go from flashing to the solid red and will not bind. I am going to send it back to them. It is toast and there is nothing that I can do about it.
Thanks all of you guys for the help you gave me. I'll let you know when I get the new one back and installed how it works.

Well here goes another freak operation that worked out. I guess that I have that never give up attitude. I gave it one more try because I am a hard head. I tried to bind it one last time only this time instead of binding it with the button and turning on the set I went to the programing and there is a bind setting in the programing and tried it that way and it worked. but again don't ask me why. Got all pprogramed and did a hover in the back yard with it. Need to adjust the gain but I am up and running finally.

Dave,
I am not sure what you mean but there is a setting in the transmitter that you can go to instead of pushing the button on top of the tranny and turning on the set on, you can go to this setting and bind it there by following the bind procedure.

Ok - just like my DX18 where you can bind using the TX menu instead of cycling power while holding the TX bind button down.

I thought you had found something in the Brain PC SW. Happy to hear you got it figured out.

Thanks for all of your help Dave. I still haven't figured out how to get the DX9 to recognize the three different flight modes that the brain has to offer. I have set up all three the same not knowing how to get the tranny to work the set up.
